That engine? Don't see Fernando Alonso rushing to buy this - the grass probably grows quicker than the mower can get around the lawn to cut it!

Don't know much about petrol mowers but going to research soon. So are Honda mower engines better than Briggs & Stratton? thanks

Both are good, but I'd go for the honda personally. Briggs and stratton had a few issues about 10 years ago, but they are back on track and are really good engines. I'd choose honda though if they were the same price.

You must be joking when I was a lad I could get 70mph out of my smaller engined Honda 125, mind you must concede it wasn't much use at cutting grass !!

McCulloch mowers are shocking, the self propelled system is terrible. If they are so good I am selling mine after a years use.Honda engine mowers are great and this is a brilliant buy.
If your u want to spend quiet a bit more on a lawnmower that is top notch then buy a toro lawnmower they are in a different league and the self propelled system is brilliant.

The Honda 160cc four stroke engine is a major plus. I have an Etesia mower with this engine in and it always starts first or second pull. Will last for years, unlike the cheapie engines on most others at this price. A Honda branded mower with this spec would be almost twice the price.

Lol, some might not like opportunists, especially if they covertly promote 'their own' (non self propelled) deal on someone else's post (highfive)

Most Mountfield mowers have a voucher in for a free lawn treatment t from greenthumb too u less it's old stock
Must say I prefer McCulloch to Mountfield so I am biased but If not desperate for a mower I'd wait until the end of the season for an alloy deck based Honda.
Steel decks generally rot quicker than alloy if you get lazy and fail to clean the deck after using.

Slightly cheaper on Amazon albeit maybe not a Honda engine..correct me if I'm wrong... good deal op
No, this is the version with the 160cc Mountfield OM55 OHV engine so not the same at all.
