I see there's a same deal from Cotswold. This is from snow and rock. Seems quite a good jacket. Not down so can get wet without insulation bunching up

How do these compare to feather down jackets. I've one which is so warm it's only useful in arctic conditions, and I'm being literal here. I could wear it in a bad uk winter with no other layers at all, aka bare chest, and still be too warm. So it gets no use as it's like wearing an electric blanket in Barbados. So, I'm strangely after something less effective, would this fit the bill?

Give a jacket with polartec alpha a go, works well in UK climate, not hot while you move.
Addidas is £48 with extra20 voucher, admittedly its more function over style
