im not saying this is the case in this instant....
but sainsburys dont always honour website prices instore,
a few months ago they had boxes of 18 cans of Lager on their website, so i went to my local (big main store) to get some only to be told that they were full price instore and that id have to order them for delivery of click & collect to get the 'deal price',
i tried to reason with them but they would have non of it,
they said their website prices and store prices are 2 different entities,
i ended up having to go home and order them for click & collect the next day, from the same store!... baffling...

Did this happen on a Tuesday, perchance? Because their website always start their offers on a Tuesday but the reductions are only available in store the following day on a Wednesday. They tend to show the reduced price offers on their website on Tuesdays so that people can order for home delivery the next day when the offer actually comes in to force. It's frustrating checking their website on a Tuesday if you're intending to go into the store on that day because that's when the prices change but it's not the case when you actually get there.
