ah, has to be worthit at this price right?

I keep getting tempted by this everytime it drops but then I have a look around and talk myself out of it then the price drops again and i go full circle it's like this game is haunting me.

I preordered the game and I finished it traded it in and then got it again with the season pass when it was cheap. At this price it's a steal for me I loved it and currently playing the latest dlc

I personally couldn't get in to this , felt it was rather repetitive

I was interested at first but after a couple of hours I couldn't believe how similar each mission was , go here kill this person then leave the area, rinse and repeat , zzzzzzzz . Shame as I enjoyed the last 2 Mafia games

How broken is this still? I've been holding off for a while now.

I heard it's repetitive but is this just the side quests? If you just stick to the main storyline is it OK?

Personally didn't enjoy this, thought Mafia 2 was so much better. For this price I'm not sure if I should get it again....

Still, it's not even a Mafia game. Lincoln isn't Mafia, he's just a guy who wants revenge.

Bought it last night for 7.59...

Do you reckon this would run on a amd 6600k I think with an hd7950 3gb and 16gb of ram GTA 5 runs 100% on this setup but mafia 2 struggled with frame rate until I dropped the settings from high to medium.

Oi! It's called a "individual opinion" and mine is it is terrible! And didn't have a look in compared to mafia 2! Sweet storyline and awesome gameplay! I've stomached 20 hrs of this awful game! And don't like it! You have your opinion and many of us have ours! Go play!

Don't think you can argue at this for £5. Seem to recall I got 15 hours out of it before I got bored of the repetitive mission style. Lots of character in the game just a shame it gets repetitive.

Opinions are fine but your opinion that it's awful doesn't hold up. Again games like Ride to Hell are awful but this is not. It looks fine (could look better sure), it plays fine and it's not broken now (it was at launch). Now if this was just released and had the awful bugs it had on launch then I would of agreed with you. Nothing about it is really awful just very average. Using exclamation marks at every sentence doesn't change anything. If you want to think its' awful then fine but it's not. I thoroughly enjoyed Mafia 2 when I played few years back but this has the better gunplay and driving. This is also coming from someone who couldn't even bloody finish it on release because of a bug so gave up.

If you thought it was awful why put so much time into it and in your words "stomached it"? Putting 20 hours into a game you hate so much when it shows you everything in the first few hours is very odd.

Read other reviews then. 20 hours is a lot compared the to the majority of people who've I've seen review it. Again I played it for twenty hours because of how awful it was! U think it's average? Still odd you would spend that amount of time on something you hate so much. For most people they don't play games for 20 hours if they hate it so much especially when they could spend that time playing games they actually like. I respect your opinion but don't agree with it.

It's called giving a game a "chance" incase I was wrong. Like stated in my last msg other people haven't given it the length of time I did. Now if I picked it up and played it for a hour I wouldn't of given the game enough of a chance. But I did and it's still awful! Clunky controls! Every mission feels the same, no uniqueness, only one thing I did like was graphics! Respect my opinion! As I'm sure there's games u dislike but I like. Seems so far it's only Mafia 2 we agree on. A follow on from this would of been outstanding and think that's what's most people were hoping for. But 2k games gave us this instead!

There's giving a game a chance and playing a game for 20 hours when you hate it especially in a game like this. You just said every mission feels the same and that should of twigged long before you put 20 hours into. I agree with you on every mission feels the same and no uniqueness but like I said above that's obvious at the 3 hour mark. Also like you I actually liked the graphics where's lot of people don't. Even before the 10 hour mark you should of realised that it would be same through out and isn't going to change.

Obviously I knew it wasn't 20 in one go twit. Nobody has the time for that unless your jobless and have no life at all. Still doesn't change the fact you should of realised it would be the same before even the 10 hour mark. It's pretty bleeding obvious plus you could of just spent 5 minutes online researching.

I don't follow the sheep and wanted to play it and see for myself, As I loved the second one thought this was going to as good! Considering how extremely repetitive this game is which you even agreed then yes. It should only take 5 minutes searching online to see how rest of the main game would be. Just because you thoroughly enjoyed the second one doesn't mean you will automatically enjoy the third. Again you complained you didn't like it and found it very repetitive. Instead of looking online to see if it gets any better you spend 20 HOURS playing it and then call it awful. 5 minutes of researching would of shown you you would be doing the same thing over and over and over til the end.

You state its an individual opinion but you seem to be spamming this deal as if it is a fact. If you didn't enjoy it cool post one response saying you didn't enjoy it and respond to replies giving a reason. I personally take every review with a pinch of salt especially if its just "This game is terrible!" if it had genuine playable issues i would listen, but the point it's slightly repetitive (as mentioned by other users) doesn't completely throw me off. People said Assassins Creed 1 was repetitive and look at that franchise now, people said Mad Max was repetitive but i loved the hell out of that game. Voice your opinion but don't shove it down peoples throats as given fact, people might side with you but not everyone has your opinion. If people want to try it cool let them try it but where you feel you wasted money they might not.

I did exactly that! And I'm not spamming anything, it's him that can't take my personal opinion and majority of reviews this game has had is that it is absolute pants compared to pre sequels. I agree this price is decent and is a deal however I'm glad a friend lent it to me not long after release. As It would have gone right on eBay if I hadn't had lent it. I Posted saying I didn't like it. Then this creep comes along telling me it's not "awful" and it is. His option is its "average" and mine is it was awful" he's kept on and on ever since! Assuming you've never heard of spoilers? Why would i want to see spoilers if I was expecting better than Mafia 2? And potentially I was going to enjoy this as much as the second? If u were five mins into a game would u want someone telling how it was going to end weather you were enjoying it or not? Absolutely not! You can't take anyone opinion and this has gone on and on!! Why would you care about spoilers when you hate the game so much? You make no sense. Expecting it to be better than Mafia 2 is valid but when you moan that it's so repetitive then put 20 hours into the that becomes a moot point. Difference is you spent 20 HOURS in the game then moaned that it's awful. Majority of people would not spend 20 hours on a game they hate so much. Majority of people would also search online to see if it get any better. Metacritic has it 68% out of 67 reviews for critic scores and average of 5.2 for use score (ps4) which proves my point that it's not awful by any means just average. Grow up child.

You said it's awful but spent 20 hours on it instead of spending 5 minutes online seeing if it changes and gets any better. I looked at the reviews which low and behold PROVE my point. It's not awful just average. Also you keep saying "i'm done" and "bye" but keep responding. If you're really done, why keep replying?

Reading these comments is more fun than mafia 3, although just as repetitive. Dont think I could do it for 20 hours though :smile:

I don't understand the complaints that it was repetitive? I loved it, decent story, good gameplay and an awesome soundtrack.
It's no more repetitive than other games (GTA, any driving game, Watchdogs, Assassins Creed etc) and still enjoyable like the others.
I'm currently playing Horizon Zero Dawn, now THAT is repetitive! Not to mention tedious at times, played it for an hour last night and all I did was get from one place to the next mission.

Well I haven't played any of the previous mafia games and played this on my PS4 and I loved it. I think if you took the best of GTA 5 and this you would have a winning game. the driving is a bit clunky, but the music and story is great. And for this price some people are coming across as a bit picky.
