good speakers
I bought a pair from amazon on a lightning deal with 5% student discount (RIP) about 2 years ago for 145, and they're still the best purchase I ever made on amazon

This was posted as an Ebuyer deal... I then commented on that thread about Amazon price matching and suggested the title of that post was updated to include Amazon. The post wasn't updated though so I think it's fair it's now been posted as a separate thread.
I ordered from Ebuyer who use yodel for their deliveries. Sufficed to say I had problems with the delivery (partly my fault but partly the yodel driver) so I ordered from Amazon and am currently waiting for a refund from Ebuyer.
The system is amazing. I've got it hooked up to my TV and android TV box for surround sound. The quality of the sound is very good and I've not managed to get the volume near 50% yet as it's so loud...amazing purchase!

Got these in November when they hit their lowest price. Very good for what I paid, issue I had was that I have an old TV that only passes through Dolby Digital and a lot of services, e.g. Netflix, tend to use DD+. As such you may need to check what your TV will pass through. I got round it by using a PS3 as a media centre, which can convert to standard DD.

Original post for Ebuyer for anyone interested in buying from there instead...
I had this system before, and it’s sounds great! Not just loud - it has a rich and full spectrum with decent and quality tones. This price attracts even better value for money. Logitech’s customer service is also great...
I want it again! For the bedroom ☺️ - tempting overkill.
Great deal! Highly recommended.

Battlefield full volume sounds great with these.
Well sounded, I'm not allowed to do that any more, dogs bark, neighbours complain. :stuck_out_tongue:

Dolby Surround is quite old now and do people still have multiple speakers all around their rooms these days?
if you've not experienced Dolby Atmos, it leaves Dolby Surround in the dark (obviously you pay a fair whack more) and most come in a 2-piece and neat unit.

With regards to connecting to TV and buying a Bluetooth receiver. Does the b tooth use the 3.5mm aux, so then you HAVE to connect to TV via optical?? Just had a bad experience buying optical, the sound was awful! (Maybe I just bought a cheap cable!) So I live with the 3.5mm connection to my TV.

FYI, if you're using 3.5mm aux I don't think you'll be getting surround sound. I believe 3.5mm only supports stereo.
I have optical from my TV and find it works great. When you say the sound was awful can you give some more detail? I'd be surprised if it was the cable, they're digital so they should work or they shouldn't... No in between.

I only have a 2 speaker set up- Oli Roth powa 5 - 40watts. I didn't think they would support surround. The cable I bought was a 1m for £5 off eBay and the sound was really quiet and volume was really low, sounded muffled.
