Jeez... Back in the day, my poor Mum had to spend more than that just for my tie... :-(

I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at, kitting out kids for school can be expensive. It cost us around £450 last year for our 3 kids and that was just to start the term so doesn't include the additional costs to replace kit that gets worn throughout the year. After 6-7 weeks of holidays, days out, general entertainment and child-minding costs, that sort of cash isn't readily available for most people. So would I buy some of this to supplement their school wardrobe, without a doubt.
And this is a deals site, it's what we are all here for, right?

I wonder how much the poor kids get paid to make these that dream of being able to attend school?

Holidays, days out and entertainment... for them. Just back from a 3 week holiday to Disney World. It was costly, but you know what, I want them to have a great childhood and create amazing memories. Would they rather have that or for them to be safe in the knowledge that their trousers cost 10x more when they're at school? As you say, priorities.

Spot on what? you are the one saying people shouldn't buy £7 shoes, i bet they last longer then the £50 ones did.
my son lost his baseball cap at school which cost a fiver so i got a cheap one online for £1.80 and a knock off logo of something he likes for 70p, spent over half an hour sewing it on so he'd have a unique hat. Is that showing priorities for you because i spent the time to stitch it on and search online in the first place or is that a sign of poor priorities to you because I spent less then £3 on a knock-off hat?

Ah, all is clear. You spent your money on holidays, days out and entertainment...and now they spend the year walking around in a pair of trousers for £1.15. As i said, priorities.

Just been, i normally buy in Asda, the jumpers seem good on a pair with asda whom charge £4 each. Same with the polo shirts which are £2.50 in asda for a two pack i see little diffence.
I got the tees cos you cant complain about two of them for less then a pound each, the trousers i bought a pair but I'm not impressed they are very thin, i normally pay £5 a pair in asda and will probably continue to do so as i doubt these will last.
Also got the shoes as they look good for the price, I'd expect to pay £12 for a similar looking pair elsewhere the sole is about 1inch thick just have to see how hard wareing they are.
As for the guy up there(or girl) ^
The worst shoes i ever got for my kid was kickers for £50 they lasted less then 4 months, when you have a boy who comes home with lord alone knows what all down his clothing its just easier to buy new then try to get the stains out, its easier just to buy cheap trousers and shoes\hats etc with the expectation that they will look manky, have holes in vanish off the face of the earth or end up stuck in a tree or something after a few months.

Seriously? A question for the mums and dads who buy these: Just exactly what are you wasting your money on, that you have to send your kids to school for the next year in trousers that cost £1.25?
Get your priorities right.

Does anyone know if these sell as quickly as the aldi ones? i wont be able to make it down until after lunch so wasnt sure if they sell out quickly. Do the deals ever go out the night before?

Yes they will sell out quickly but it's always worth popping down when you can to see what they have left. I'm hoping that there would be stock available as Aldi had their school clothes last week and hence many parents would have bought it from them last week. The deals don't go out the night before
