I've been holding off for ages. £450 is about as good as its going to get for a 55 inch 4K TV. I also need a TV with the NOW app so LG or Samsung is pretty much it.

Would this be much better than the Philips 55PUS6401 I just bought yesterday?
Which screen do you enter the code in on? I accidentally went to far and ended up reserving one in store. Luckily I chose the pay in store option.

To enter the code you need to select pay now

Apparently this LG is not real 4K so I think the Philips is better perhaps?

I've only ever been able to enter an Argos code on the payment screen so can't reserve and pay in store.

Folks if you get this , then pay the £4 delivery, you can then cancel the order for any reason even if its been opened

You can do click and collect too.. as long as its paid for online it still has distance selling rules.

TV10 knocked 10% off but not willing to buy knowing it could be £449.10??

Did you order this? It's not dropping once in the basket. Suggested code doesn't work by TV10 is knocking 10% off. If I know someone who genuinely got it for that price I'll call and see if they will match it?!

i too bought the phillips saturday as my old samsung had given up the ghost and i am very impressed for 449
Pros:
4K demos ran nicely with a bit of judder on pan shots (this was using the built in youtube app)
Ambilight which i thought is a gimmick actually really adds to the experience especially in a dark room
HD images are really good
Cons:
If like me you still use an old analogue amp with RCA inputs then this TV is a little annoying in that for some unknown reason Philips decided to give the headphone output a separate volume control in the settings rather than use the volume on the remote, ALL other TV's ive had have been setup like this and the remote volume has always defaulted to headphones and worked in this scenario. To get round this i have purchased an optical to analogue converter which are about a tenner so i can now control volume from any source via remote.
i use the builtin freeview and as expected SD channels are varied and not great in terms of picture quality but this is true for most TV's.
Overall very pleased and i still have some playing and tweaking to do

I got the philips 55 last night, no light bleed at all on mine, the ambilight is amazing in the dark, slight dse but you get than on the majority of tv.s but not noticeable 95% of the time, for 449 it's a steal, I find sd channels through the sky box very good, I find the "photo" preset gives the best picture, to my eyes anyway

Got this set delivered last night and so far I'm impressed. Caveat I'm no expert and basing this purely on watching 4K Netflix which looked sharp. What made me choose this one apart from getting it delivered for £453 was that Now TV is one of the apps on the TV. Just means no need for another box/remote.

Don't worry Pavel I got the deal so am incredibly grateful. Few days in and catching up on GOT with Now TV so thanks for posting. Another thing that's impressive is how thin this set is. Although it's meant I've upgraded to 4K Netflix which not sure will be worth it.
