Just spotted this myself as was pondering on it at the Prime deal of £209 and then the price updated in my basket.
I also got it for £133 because I had a free voucher on my account from a previous refund where the seller also sent me out a free replacement product which I had forgot about.
Winner Winner!

Been waiting for the price drop. They're going end of line so probably stay at this price until they sell out. (The latest model has DisplayPort input)
I went for this over 4K because hi-res isn't really needed when your sitting so close and on such small displays (and my pc isn't powerful enough).
Also like the idea of split screen on the ultra wide, so two monitors in one.

Fantastic buy, tempted to get another to pair with the one I already have, for uber-wide!

Great find! You can also get the 25" (though 25 ultra wide is pretty small) for £100 at Amazon Warehouse. Tempted by this 29" but just seems greedy on my part, the one thing I'm not short on is monitors!

why would you go with this screen and not with Samsung C27F398 CURVED monitor for example?

Yes, but I'm trying to weigh up what I need more. 4K or ultra wide. I use it for multitasking, looking at construction plans and I also use it for movies and games

Yippee. Amazon must have found stock. Arrived today.
BTW it does have speakers - took a little of config to get it working but all good. Loving this monitor!

I also challenge him to suggest why he would buy from currys/pc world at the same price as Amazon.

11 Jul 17#36
I've just ordered a USB c to display port cable to see if it improves my XPS external display at work, the colour are washed out, display response is poor and text isn't clear. At the moment the xps is connected via normal USB and a DisplayPort adaptor, looks to me like it's using the graphics software for the DisplayPort adaptor. If this works, I'll then work out how best to connect this monitor to the XPS using the USB c port.

Darn it. We only bought this last month for £224.-- and thought that wasn't a bad price at the time as it had been reduced from around £270+
It's increased back up again now though. There is no Amazon option available over in the other sellers section on the right anymore either.

I bought this from Currys on Sunday they had one left and a display one too (Bare in mind some stores have display models but won't show online so you may be able to get the display one off them) do you think they'll refund me the price difference as I paid £249.97

If you bought a new, unopened one today at £170 - couldn't you return it with the receipt from the earlier purchase (as long as it was within the 30 day? limit for a full refund - as long as you leave the newer one unopened) ?
