As a politician I can tell you with certainty that a pound of muscle weighs only 42% of a pound of fat, on a value cost averaging basis and seasonally weighted against a basket of currencies.

A lb of muscle weighs the same as a lb of fat !
However, muscle is denser than fat, so a lb of muscle takes up less space than a lb of fat ...

When I started wearing Levi's, a pair of trousers in M&S cost £3-50 and a pair of Levi's £1-50, we wore them to be "different".
Now a pair of trousers in M&S cost £35-00 and a pair of Levi's £40 to £70, for a pair of cheap shapeless cotton trousers? and everyone wears them, and you think us old ones are stupid?
You don't see so many of those baggy jeans about, but they are about the same as skinny jeans for comedy potential.
Every time we go out we get at least a dozen laughs at the distorted people.

I bought 2 pairs of these jeans from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I almost bought them direct from Levis at more than twice the price, and as far as I can tell they're exactly the same. Same style, same colour, same fit. I couldn't believe how cheap they were, but i'm absolutely happy with the quality.

Levi's these days aren't like they used to be. You can buy the same style, say a 511 in the same size but different colours and each will be a totally different size and shape. Lay 2 pairs on top of each other and you can see the difference.
These low priced variants are almost always like this so there is absolutely no point in stocking up as it were. There is a reason these are £21, and then still £80 or so in the main stores. The days of knowing exactly what size and style to order in Levi's has long gone, you literally need to try on every pair you buy to make sure they are the same as the last.

Levi's not what they're cracked up to be imo (especially now they've muddied the water with all this cheap but identical looking stuff for margin retailers).
Always go in at the crotch, I find they last no longer and aren't better fitting (sometimes worse) than £30 a pop topman Etc. jeans.
Also if you do want skinny unlike that homophobic idiot further up the thread: 510s are the ones to go for (and even they're not that skinny).

Maybe it depends on where they are made, all i know is that my 511's in moonshine are really tough...had them a few years wash up and iron like new.
Thats the moonshine colour by the way i dont wash them in moonshine. Will check and compare where these ones are made. I bought two :man:

Levi's aren't necessarily a quality brand these days. A few years ago they started manufacturing a lower quality jean in south-east Asia alongside their previous offerings, to sell to places like Sports Direct and Amazon.
These jeans are those low-quality jeans, not the ones you would find in a Levi's store.

They aren't skinny and the taper isn't dramatic.
They are 501 CT. Which is a traditional 501 seat cut with a slight leg taper. Not a tight fit at all.
I have all sorts of Levi jeans (I hate skinny and tight ones too) but this particular cut is probably my favourite for fit and look.
