Would this be a good upgrade from my 2013 Nexus 7?

This is what I was thinking. I'm tempted.
I think the sd625 CPU is a worthy upgrade to the s4 pro CPU in the n7, based in the usual sites.
I'm going to do some more research:
Ok, so the model number is tb-8703f Model name is Lenovo Tab3 8 Plus WiFi
Where? your link just goes to the main page, and If I put in "Lenovo P8" all I can see is covers / cases for it. If it's for sale on amazon.de i'd much rather get it from there than dodgy Chinese gearbest....
edit: are you searching for Lenovo Tab 3 8" instead ?

I doubt mega pixels will make much difference on a camera that size, the sensor is probably smaller than a pea, so even if you had twice the mega pixels, the true resolution would be the same.

No one can actually usefully use more than 8MP from a $3 camera in a tablet.

How does this compare to that £55 Lenovo Tab 3 - 8 inch that is in Argos?

Me and loadsa people, immediately click and send email and immediately insert into MS Office documents and do photo editing right away and send (especially using a Windows tablet with 4G).

Regarding questions on model, this appears to be the model TB-8703F (wifi only) of the Tab3 8 Plus. Good specs, most tablets on HUKD have very poor resolution.
Shame about the reseller. Also note, this is dispatched from China warehouse so factor in added taxes, fees, delays, and pain if you need customer support. For me the price isn't good enough.
Also, ignore these "special deals" Gearbest and the like do. Everything's always on sale everyday, it's a pressure selling tactic.

It's just his excuse not to buy - similar can be found in every listing. If it had a 50mp camera, he would want a 2.05ghz processor...

So tempted by this, spec for the price is hard to beat (though would be nice to have more than 16GB), but dubious about buying from Gearbest...

This is so confusing... The tablet was announced in Feb 2017 if you believe mobilesmspk.net (same time as the Tab 4 range was announced) and has the exact same specs as the Tab 4 Plus 8, but people seem to think it's a Tab 3?... * SD 625 * Adreno 506 * 1200x1920 Sound familiar?... gsmarena.com/len…php
Unless someone can point me toward an official Lenovo product page that lists this as the Tab 3 Plus, I'm going to keep believing that this is the Tab 4 Plus.
Even if it does turn out to be the lesser spotted Tab 3 Plus (the Yoga was the only Tab 3 Plus model afaik), it'll still be a massive upgrade from my spare/kitchen Nexus 7 2012 that's on the verge of being chucked in the bin!
My hunch is that this is the regional variant of the Tab 4 Plus for China, but has been rebadged as P8/Tab 3 Plus due to the bad luck associated with the number 4... Hopefully you can just stick a standard international ROM on there to get past 6.0.1

It is, but as I said above it has the exact same specs as the Tab 4 Plus. Seems to be due to the number 4 being considered to be bad luck in China, which seems to be the main area this tab is marketed at. It's unclear if it'll ever get Nougat, so fingers crossed we get some custom ROM support at least (this thing would be perfect for Lineage!) I've got one and for the price it's fantastic little tablet. Nice and nippy, expandable storage and a relatively bloat free android experience. Happy to answer any questions for anybody still on the fence.
