While i agree that Krisy Kreme doughnuts are over priced, BUT i would like to disagree with some of the comments that morrison and tesco version of doughnuts taste better than Krispy Kreme. It would simply be ridiculous to compare krispy kreme doughnuts with other retailers selling those.

Insane prices just for a doughnut, i have tried them when others have brought them into work and can honestly say i much prefer the '5 for 80p" jobs you get from Morrisons, tastier and just nicer!

Come on here looking to find out more about the KK doughnut deal and find people arguing/debating lifestyles & how others live their lives

No offence meant on anyone here. It appears that the conversation here is bothering the people coming here for doughnuts. Sorry all. i am taking this conversation offline.

But if you can't do it, who can? And if no-one is able to afford the houses at the bottom then no-one can move so more expensive houses don't get bought and the housing market collapses... SOMEONE must be buying all the houses at the 'bottom end' (if you can call anything less than £200,000 bottom end given poor wages these days) because they are still being sold, it is just that i cannot work out who these people are - I live in the South East and wages are no better than anywhere else unless you actually work in a good job in London but the average house price is incredible, and i cannot see how people who are just joining my job would be able to ever afford a house, yet they keep getting sold. What sort of wage do you need these days for a £250,000 mortgage, because i can't imagine any jobs around here pay that except for dentists and doctors!

APOLOGIES, But I would like to strongly disagree. I have never tasted alcohol, never been to a holiday and i started my career the same year i finished my college. Living in this country for nearly 7 years - i am totally not sure what should i do to get on to the property ladder. I live and work in London and i dont want to buy something up north.
Only chance of me getting on the property ladder is if i win a lottery or someone who could lend me 125k without interest. And these 2 can not happen.

And my father is not a rich [email protected] or a person who has more money who could help me by lending something.

May be iam not that smart as you are. May be God designed me that way.
Personally i strongly believe that I am smart and also hard working and also very responsible than 90 % of the total adult population in the world.

i wouldnt usually discuss politics, but shall we thank the Conservaties for this situation ?

Iam in the same situation, fundamentally nothing has changed, no salary has doubled - road sizes have not been increased, no new train lines or new motorway near my home, but still the housing prices have spiked up between 2012 and 2016.
My story would not be unique, i am one of the many - but i dont have answer for these.
I am not even considering buying a car purely because of the fact that i would save the insurance costs ( i anyways have to buy travel card for tube and i use the same for transportation and weekly shopping - saving money).
My wife helps me a lot in everything. She is well educated, But i have a son, so we thought what my wife and me got from our mom, he deserves to get that (pampering and attention). She is happy to be a home maker and iam happy with my earnings (no complaints) but i cant catch up with the basic need of getting on the housing ladder. Today after qualifying for a 300k mortgage, i dont have savings of 200k (including refurbishments and taxes).
If i go by help to buy scheme, a new 2 bedroom flat costs 400k ha ha haaaa, yes 400k - it is still unaffordable.
Possibly if my wife earns 60 % of what iam earning now, then yes - we can buy a home.

Anyways, for the last 1 year, i have lost hopes of buying a home. On and off, i browse zoopla. I see some of the adds which says - last sold in 2013 for 260k and in 2017 asking price of 440k (wtf !!!!?????!!). I straight away close the browser and go and see my kid only to speak to myself (you are going to have a tough time mate !!!!)

But i am quiet sure one day i will get on the property ladder, it is just a question of when - may be within the next 10 years.

Unfortunately we live in a society where people have to "keep up with the jones". I am lucky because i am good at saving so I started saving whilst i was living with parents. I knew that if i started renting i would probably never save enough to get a mortgage. By 21 I got a mortgage and I was on the property ladder whilst most of my friends were still out getting drunk and going on holidays and still complaining to this day they can't get on the property ladder. The importance is educating the young. Teach them to be money wise and not to be a sheep

That sucks, i have real sympathy for those who make the effort to save etc but still can't seem to get anywhere, Im glad i am not in that position myself, but worry about my children. Unfortunately, a lot of their contemporaries seem to think they can have the latest phone and car etc, eat out all the time, go on flash holidays, basically blow all their money and then complain how easy the likes of me had it when buying a house - they don't seem to realise that i had to make real sacrifices of no holidays, we didn't have phones anyway, have always driven old cars etc. Meanwhile, they eat their £2 doughnut and think they are being hard done by...

What i don't understand, and i know it is very off-topic, but who is buying all the houses? If people don't earn enough to buy them then is it all buy-to-let, foreign money etc? There is no way at current prices that i could get a mortgage for my present house, despite being in a pretty well paid job, so who can afford them?

Went into KK earlier, staff seemed confused about the offer and went to management, came back and was told it was limited to one donut only, not multiples! Didn't argue though as had 3 others free from a gift card, and another free one as it's my birthday! ...

Any product is only worth what people are willing to pay, be it gold, houses, haircuts or doughnuts. If people stop buying them, the price will drop, but that wont happen, mainly because of how society has evolved into an 'I want what they have and a want it now' culture coupled with the inequality of income. Those who have the money will compete with each other and those who dont have the money will sell their souls and borrow in a sad quest to keep up.

Someone needs to press the reset button

Perhaps start off with a flat or live further out (of London, I assume)? I appreciate the horse has bolted but getting on the ladder, regardless of size, should be the primary aim.

KK doughnuts are nice until halfway through the first mouthful, when you realise you could be eating 10 Snickers for the same sugar intake. Whoever thought £2 for a doughnut was acceptable!

Tried at Tesco's as I was in there getting my lunch. Was told that these don't work. The woman at customer services said that her colleague had tried to get it through the till earlier and it wouldn't work. Tesco stores are not aware of these vouchers so - waste of time

I don't drink coffee, Leave Mercedes - I don't even drive any car for that matter. Have a old samsung phone S5 (3 years old) and even now i cant get up the property ladder.

When i wanted to buy a property in 2012 - it was 270k (and bank said they can lend me only 180-190k max) and i did not have a 90 k deposit and cover other costs (including taxes and refurbishments)... I changed 2 companies in 4 years and Today iam qualified for a 300k mortgage. But the housing prices have gone up by 150k which is of similar size and detail (the same house would cost me 450000 to 470000 today).

As a matter of fact, i eat these krispy kreme only when some one buys that (say if someone is leaving office, they few buy these on the day of leaving and i will have one or two

Inspite of all this, i cant get on the housing ladder. Sometimes i feel that i am living in a under developed country where things are unregulated and prices can go up like anything.

Krispy Kreme are an impulse purchase item, that's why they're so often near the front door in Tescos while the Bakery department is at the back (and I'm sure KK pay a fortune to rent those spaces). Some people will pay £10 for a dozen doughnuts to save walking deep into the store.

No signs of offer in tesco? Will it come up when its scans? Which donuts are on offer? Any proof online?

Edit just scanned and didn't come up as bogof the store also doesn't know anything about this

Of course they're a rip off. But they're aren't the sort of doughnut you'd buy every week!

More as a one off or on special occasions.

And whilst Morrison's ones can certainly taste very good, it's like comparing apples with pears. Completely different style of doughnut
