Someone bought 100 of the Hive 1's at £4.99 earlier.
But yeah, maybe £15 is a bit much for resale. Tesco are selling refurbs at £23 and vodafone new at £25.

Hope it's better than their boombars, seriously underwhelming.

I have one. Doesn't pair well with Amazon Echo Dot for some reason - I lose the first 1/2 a second of anything Alexa says. Haven't tried it lately so I suppose an echo firmware update may have fixed it.

Why would you pair it to dot you can't even play music on dot or do anything other than ask for location it's crap

What are you talking about? Of course you can play music on a dot if you have a suitable music subscription. Or play radio, audiobooks, etc.

Can anyone recommend the hive 1 or 2? Considering the 1 is a fiver?

What fits low budget and still not too bad for connecting to the dot?

I bought one of these ones and it arrived today. It's practically brand new. I couldn't find any marks on it. It was delivered in a padded envelope and it was all inside a pouch to hold it in along with the cables.
I'm currently charging it now, so no idea how good the speaker is yet.

Received mine today. Went for the white one and it was with all packaging (heavily taped up) but not impressed with condition. Front and rear of top has two dents and white plastic has started to yellow already.
Accessories present and unused so I'm guessing speaker has been a display model?
Sounds pretty good, more bass than my Qmaker M4 (which has amazing battery life).
Probably will keep it for the kitchen, wish I hadn't gone white though.

Got one of the £5 "original Hive" ones from this seller. Must say, well impressed. Sound quality very good. Considering they sent it by DPD courier well cant see how they made any money at all? Possibly a loss leader for them to get the punters in but well worth it. At £15 I'd still buy it.

Went for the 2 as it had more than double the power according to a review I read (12watts RMS vs 5watts). Reviews look really positive. Cheers OP!

Went for the Hive 1 and just connected it to my dot with the (included) aux cable.... Works a treat. Wish I'd bought another for my dot upstairs now. I've emailed to see if they're getting any more but never got a reply, if they respond I'll update here
