You have a small valeting unit and don't know what a George is? Anybody who does valeting knows a George, you need to do your home work.
Numatic are one of the most popular brands of vacuum on the market. I run a mobile valeting business and the Gerorge does everything needed from vacuum to wet vac.

Looks good to do a staircase carpet? I've an upright which is a pain.

The suction pipes on most of these kind of vac's are short, they wouldn't be good for stairs. You could try a hand held dyson? Ideal for stairs but they aren't cheap

easily, these are great vacuums, I would suggest trying it with and without the bag and see what the difference is like. You might also consider the Dewalt DCV582 as it is both mains and battery powered and VERY robust. if have reviewed both models on my YouTube channel if it helps? search for Mike's Unboxing.

Have 2 of these, got the first from b&q for £40 when they were on offer a couple of years ago and the second from currys for £20 when they discontinued it. Great little vacuum only problem is it tips over way too easily. Slightest bump and it topples, not great if you have rugs and if the cable gets stuck under it.

Yeah that is my only gripe with these. I found applying a layer of rubberised sound proofing on the bottom made it much more stable, and a little quieter

Mine too, do you find suction stops when this happens? I have to lift lid off , replace then it's good to go.
