I don't think this is the same as what I have; I have a 6L tub which I got for £8 and this covers fantastically! Bought it from B&M a couple of weeks back. Also the Johnstones silk paints are fantastic! I have Steel Smoke and Moonlit Sky - both are nice colours, especially the latter, and have so much sheen! Can't go wrong with this paint - no idea why people are giving bad reviews. Dulux - don't even go there! I'd never buy Dulux or Crown again after buying Johnstones products! The non-drip gloss is cheap and cheerful too; covers great with just one coat!

You may be right, I suspect the 10litre tubs are formulated differently as other size tubs get good reviews; it is almost as if they have taken the 6L tub and watered it down until they have 10L.
I have their "Trade" versions, which are much better; but when Lidl/Adli do a paint just as good, for a fraction of the price........

I think Johnstones trade paint is decent, however upon running out of white I dropped into Homebase (as no trade centre near where I was) and purchased this thinking the colour match would be similar. I would not recommend this paint at all as it's simply to thin. The trade paint is gloopy and goes on well (although for some reason magnolia is thicker than their white). This stuff is a royal pain. Trade pain is quite a lot more as 3 tubs 10L cost me £69. However you'll thank yourself for not buying this coloured water.

It isn't too thin and still needed watering down for plaster they also do 8l for £8

I bought this and regretted it. It's too thin.
Buy Dulux and save yourself the hassle of extra coats.

The Leyland trade paint on this site earlier is better it's thicker and covers better. The best emulsion paint I've used recently is Screwfix own brand it is very good. maximum 2 coats covers anything.

This particular paint is awful. It is NOT high opacity, it is as thin as skimmed milk.
It also soaks up greasy finger prints, and dirt, and comes off the wall if you try and clean the stain.
In its favour, it is slightly less awful than the 10 litre tubs of Johnsons Magnolia, which has all of the above issues, but is even less opaque.
My sister bought 30 litres of this when she asked me to paint her house; after FIVE coats on one wall I threw it away and went and bought some paint from Aldi.
