At this point I don't know why you wouldn't just opt for a passport external. Pocket space that valuable I guess? Still, terrific price if you absolutely must have something this small.

Obviously a misprice as half the price of everywhere else. Do we reckon it will get honoured? Normally if there is no stock, Amazon catch on and cancel them.

I disagree with authors on all but NAS... you dont need ssd speeds on a nas, nowadays there are multi function nas systems, but main purpose is backup/share storage on a network without needing a full pc...
however, i m running servers and workstations for over 4 years!
i have two servers with 6 ssds in raid 5 config, and bought used ssds to begin with. it is running for 4 years now and only had one failed disk! i have an identical server config, and never had ssd failed! i have two new servers running on ssds for 2 years now and have no fails as of yet nor any slow downs...
and the servers are actively running commercial software/database 24/5 on 4 servers which never turns off, so backups etc running on those 2 extra days, and have one server installed with ssds 3 years ago, which is running without a single fail 24/7!
some people talk theoretically without using them in real world.... i have 2 new servers installed last year no fail yet either. running 24/7
combined 26 ssds have been running 24/7 now, in 4 years had one fail albeit one of the used ones!

No. One of the reviews covers it and states the less than usable performance they experienced.

I'd be surprised, but no cancelation here yet either.
I'm guessing it was a mis-price of the 256gb version.

Here's hoping, but I'm assuming cancellations would only happen closer to dispatch. But you never know. It's not the biggest missprice of all time if that's the case.

I have one arriving tomorrow. £107.97 has been debited from my account. Hopefully it's the advertised capacity.

Interesting. My expected delivery date changed to 15-26 August :disappointed:
Not massive profit on it at that price when you factor in postage, ebay and paypal costs. He'll be clearing £25 on each item for a £107 outlay..

That's showing a read speed, what are you reading from, without trying to teach granny to suck eggs, unless your other devices can cope with 300mb read speeds, then it's going to be the bottle neck.
128GB–512GB: 350MB/s read, 250MB/s write is the quoted. Most people seem to be seeing better than that?

22 Aug 17#57
Regular sellers are going to be peeved, they are going for 123/125/128 which by my calculation makes them a loss at the £107 we paid (ebay fees+paypal+£6.75 special delivery - Unless you only want £50 when they are lost)
Wonder how many amazon are going to get back?
J4GG4 to iancwatkinson
22 Aug 17#58
Yep, absolutely hilarious.
I was going to go for 5 of these, as at the time the cheapest on ebay was £195. So if i stuck them up for £190 i'd make a worthwhile profit.
Unfortunately slowly as the orders from amazon got delivered, more and more have popped up on ebay, each HUKD member battling each other for the best price. Now it seems to be as low as £129.99 delivered. Which as per your calculation is selling at a loss.
What is wrong with you people? pmsl.

Profiteers are getting gubbed. If you are a side trader, stop taking advantage of misprices and pay the due taxes you are making from your side business you are running...
