So is the SSD upgradable? And to what size? And how much RAM will it accept? I'm a complete novice when it comes to taking apart and upgrading laptops. Is this one I should steer clear of? The price does seem decent.

Don't understand why these laptops only have 128gb ssd, i understand cloud storage but think you need at least 256

Yeah, after 12 months of Windows Update you will probably have 30+ GB of .msi and .msp files clogging up your drive.
There is no guaranteed safe way of removing them and MS does not offer a way to shift them to a second drive etc.

Depends what you want it for. It would be adequate for me as I have other PCs for games and network storage for media.

Hi mate,
Probably gonna buy this, what type of Ssd is inside it as I'm gonna upgrade it? Pci-e, 2.5'' etc? How do you open it up? Thanks

Can't find a video on how this opens? Is it just screws on the bottom or what?

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, for same price from same place.
It is an excellent laptop, good build quality, great screen, good sound, nice and light and very fast.
I wanted to add a 1tb 2.5" I had spare as was worried about it only having 128gb SSD.
It was not easy to open and unfortunately the SSD is located right where you'd need to put the 2.5" so I'm buying a hdd case.
There is a spare ram slot inside.
Battery life is very good too.
Hope this helps

Anybody got this laptop? What's the battery life like, is it anywhere near the 10 hours stated?

I've had experience with a few Pavillions. They're pretty light and pretty sleek. I actually think they're a very good size for their price range. Be aware though, the 2/3 that I've had dealings with didn't have the removable plate on the underside so you can get access to the RAM and/or HDD, if you ever want to upgrade or change.
This should be pretty nippy too, as its got a decent CPU, DDR4 RAM and an SSD.
Decent price, too. Hot, IMO.
