i think this one is about doing one thing well - printing very quickly, rather than being multipurpose. And for £66, whats not to like?

"Dynamic security enabled printer. Only intended to be used with
cartridges using an HP original chip. Cartridges using a non-HP chip may
not work, and those that work today may not work in the future."
Still it's a cracking price

If you think about how hot the £25 deals get, even though the starter cartridges contain almost no ink. This one includes 1500 page starter cartridges. It ought to be red hot, really.
I've ordered one, thanks. (Really ought to order another, just for the cartridge refills!)

Sold cheap as you need to purchase genuine cartridges!
I believe it is one of the fastest inkjets due to the head design (the print head is the width of the page), that's about it's only good feature. Saying that if I didn't already have a plethora of colour printers I would consider purchasing this!

Great deal - I purchased a couple of these. I have quite a competent printer already, but for the price and the cartridge capacity of 1500 pages - this works out marginally cheaper than buying new ink on my current printer.
I'll find some extra space for this in the study and use the 2 printers until they run out - then send them to a charity shop or something.
If you are looking for a 'cheap to run' inkjet, epson has launched thier EcoTank range, where in place of cartridges, there are ink tanks that you can refill from the bottles. Printer itself is more expensive, but cheaper in terms of ink.
Ive been using it only a few months.

Since we are talking about printer, I really need some advice pls guys.
I am looking a good reliable office laser printer (just black and white). Second hand is fine as along as it's running well. Where could I source for one apart from ebay?
You can pick them up for about £70, although sometimes a warehouse deal (which is how I got mine) for around £40

I bought an HP P2035. 30ppm, and it's a well made printer intended for use in an office. New, off ebay, for under £50. Toner cartridges are cheap at about £7 for 2300 pages (compatibles, ofc).

This printer was on prime day warehouse came out at £76 however the cartridges are £100 each, the are ridiculously overpriced and you can't get compatible ones easily for it.

£231 for a set of 4 http://www.cartridgesave.co.uk/HP913A-PACK.html still expensive. But a genuine set of Canon MB2050 cartridges are £43, on average you need 4 sets to print the same number of pages from the HP 913A cartridges.

DRM for this type of hardware is crazy. I'll buy something else, and likely not HP.

I have the top of the range model of the previous generation of these (X576dw). It is the best printer I've owned, particularly as the model I have gets over 70ppm (!!). I have used third party cartridges no problem.

They did this with the X476 / X576
A new firmware came along and stopped use of 3rd party cartridges. After a backlash they posted a firmware that disabled this, but it was buggy and still stopped the cartridges eventually.

Wonder if one could return the printer as no longer functional. Consumers have 6 year legal guarantee in UK (Scotland 5 years).
Imagine if your car no longer worked with supermarket fuel after a service.
