Thought this cheap & cheerful HP Deskjet 2132 All-in-One Printer for £19.99 @ Argos might be good for some of the students heading off to uni, it has excellent reviews, scoring 4.6 from 833 reviewers & seems to be the cheapest price around by a margin & Argos state on their page it's the cheapest price they've sold it at. Seems to be plenty of stock around too.
Make your everyday printing, scanning and copying easy with an HP DeskJet all-in-one that simply works – right out of the box.

would it be better to buy something like this or something more expensive to save money in the long run? I would use it occasionally so not heavy use.

It is fabulous so easy to use and the inks are nowhere as expensive as Epson

load of rubbish, I said it came with two cartridges and it does. 1 colour 1 black and white (whatever the colour, it is colour) why are there so many know it alls on here, get a life, anyone who purchases this, please clarify that I am right. and the bigheads are wrong.

I think You should check your cartridges. You will have one colour (Cyan/Magenta/Yellow) Cartridge and one Black Cartridge. Only one inkjet printer has ever had white ink. Inkjet printers are subtractive colour devices and rely on the the base medium (paper) to have all the colours (ie white).

Picked one up from Argos Lakeside today and comes with printer cable in box, so far so good. :sunglasses:

If you mean the USB lead, I don't think they ever have.
I’ve used this printer before and it’s just a plain simple printer that does the job without having to constantly change cartridges, wifi version is much better but more of a setup...

non-wifi version, good value but not much functionality apart from only using as a desktop printer only

I found this printer and wanted to know are there any catches with the free printing for life they are claiming to provide apart from it being 15 pages per month?

No it doesn't, and think about that before you reply
If you need a clue the paper is white, your ink jet printer therefore can't print white.

I recommend instantink compatibility - ink from £2/month - this isn't compatible. Eg1. HP 3636 £30 3636 Eg2 3637 ArgosEbay

Not so much a bargain when factoring the typical cost of the food it expects, although if you are OK with minimal-capacity cartridges that should last a few pages then you could blow £18.24 for a set delivered ebay.co.uk/itm…178

I have this printer and would recommend, it also comes with colour and black and white cartridges, so a real bargain.
