What even the half eaten ones or the ones with fluff from the floor on them? ha
mutley1 to Graham1979
22 Jul 17#33
never seen half eaten one. they are so delicious, there is no way someone could only eat half and resist the other half!
i have seen the odd one on the floor and i avoid them as i don't like eating things that have been on the floor for hygiene reason. i am a little pedantic about eating stuff off the floor.

Ever tried the Jelly Beans, true quality although they changed them not so long ago. I like the strawberry milkshakes.
I PREFER THEM WHEN THEY'RE A BIT STALE, MORE CHEWY!

I love their jelly beans. My favourite is the banana and strawberry balls, cant remember what they are called. Also the banana sweets. Yum. I used to have pic and mix for lunch when they were on sale. Delicious.

These should have a food hygiene of -5, the amount of kids you see pick the sweets up with there bare hands is unreal, how any kids do you think wash there hands having been to the toilet?

21 Jul 17#7
And you think the adults who pick over supermarket fruit & veg are any different?

21 Jul 17#6
I just buy a few different bags of Haribos (depends whats on offer), and tip a few of each into a paper cup that each of the kids have decorated. Cheap pick and mix and usually enough for more than one, usually wet, afternoon treat.

Eh? Thanks for letting us know what you prefer sucking
Why? I eat and drink utter crud and last had a filling 2 years ago. I use this wonderful invention called a toothbrush...
I don't think Wilko sell porn mags, sorry Graham!
So you open bags of Haribo and decant into a cup - makes no sense. Elaborate?
What?!! Did you mean washed?
Hey, at least he has posted a few deals in the 6 years you have been a member eh? Helpful.....
Right, off to denigrate as many deals as I can as I find myself very funny and I have literally nothing else to fulfill my existence on the planet. Watch out deal posters!!!!

I used to work for Wilkos for many years, and I could tell you some stories about the pick n mix.
I worked in many different stores while with them, and believe me, what people are saying about the pick n mix is TRUE!
Licked - put back, chewed - put back, handled (with no tongs), dropped on floor - put back, sneezed on, the list is endless and this is children & ADULTS doing it!
Do yourself a favour and buy prepackaged!

Can't beat the good old Woolworths pick n mix

22 Jul 17#32
Not just kids. Adults, too.
I remember nearly buying pix n mix in Woolworths years ago. I was spending ages getting the perfect mix and then some old woman walks along and puts her claws right into the sweets and grabs a handful for her cup...I put my cup down and left the shop.
unreality
22 Jul 17#34
Hmm. Had an odd craving for pick n mix recently. But won't suit my calorie deficit..
At least some of these hygiene comments are putting me off!

Save time and money and just go outside and lick dog poo. You'll probably catch the same germs.

Get over with all the germ comments! There is nothing more filthy than handling cash, especially coins, then use your hands to pick up your food and shove it in your mouth! People eat food contiminated with germs all the time

What sweets do people recommend out of the Wilko Pick n Mix? There must be some sweets where the consensus is to avoid them.
Is the plain fudge or chocolate and plain fudge worth getting from the pick n mix?

I've worked for Wilko for 26 years And we would never condone sweets being picked up off floor and put back , comments are madness, we have strict hygiene rules so feel sorry for the branch you worked in,.. however pick N mix may not be good for diets like I'm on lol
