They are immensely strong and perfect for hanging things on plasterboard, providing you can cover the hole needed to house them with whatever you are hanging. Usually around £18 for the assorted box of 32, currently £18.99 at Screwfix.
NB: You must have the relevant drill bits (15/18/20 & 25mm). 15mm can be tricky to find in local hardware shops but Amazon have it if you can wait a day or two. However once you have these it's easy.

If you hit a bit of adhesive where you are fixing your gripit, you won't be able to flip the wings out as they'll just hit the adhesive - you need to run the undercutting tool around the hole, so that there is a lovely little slot for the wings to slide in to.
These are just beyond brilliant in a dot n dab house, I generally buy the £50 buckets of them as you get 4 spade bits and 4 undercutting bits, and if you use a lot of these you'll eventually lose them!

It's used to cut away any insulation behind the plasterboard so the 'wings' of the grip-it can fully open. I think they sell 4 sizes but I found you can just buy the smallest one and then move it around the hole. Around £6 I think but well worth it

I wish I knew about DIY stuff. I don't even know which way to vote on this.
Edit: I like the lilac-coloured ones.

They are fantastic, I recommend these highly. You really need the right drill bit, and the undercutting tool is also essential.

fancy a go with these, always used snappers, what is an "undercutting tool"?

Good price, but I will stick to metal self drive plugs. These are not as convincing for heavier loads. Of course nothing beats spring toggles for TV wall mounting on plasterboard (for those without wood beams close enough).

Yep, can't beat the metal self drive ones, easiest things to install, only need a screwdriver, and can hold massive weights. One in each corner will hold a fully laden kitchen cupboard with no issues. Easy holes to bung up if you change your mind too.

Bargain .
Ordered 2 packs. Just got rid of all the slats in my house and replaced with plaster board. I'm sure I'll live to regret it
