Any good chinese phones with same spec as this one but with 9V charging and NFC?

Did you register an account? My shipping address is saved so all I do is add the item to the cart as US delivery and it reverts to my UK address on checkout.

Very good. Makes my Nexus 5X look silly. At least double the battery life in my experience.

My initial thought of the build quality is that it seems very well built, nice solid build to it

The system alerted me to an OTA update which I did straight away

I have some initial teething problems which are concerning me and one thing which is very much dissapointing me

my carrier/network is being shown as T-Mobile but I am on EE ??? Is this just a bug or has it set me roaming or something (I phoned EE and requested a sim refresh and this didnt work) <<< EDIT - managed to make a manual change in settings to make EE appear in bar so this is sorted

Major disappointment...
I was told this phone would be either on Nougat or would update to Nougat OTA but I am in fact on Android 6.0.1
It's a big deal to me as this was a specific requirement / want before buying and it's kind of taken the gloss off the purchase for me

Any help or suggestions anyone can offer would be appreciated, thanks

Not sure who told you it comes with nougat or will ota it soon as you get.Nougat for the note 4 is only out on beta with no ETA for a full rollout as of yet.
I think these one of the times a bit of research would of been beneficial before buying.

Thanks Hammer, pretty sure I read on this site that Nougat would be available for it, but tbh I read so many different threads about these phones that it is possible that I was confused to another phone on another thread :disappointed:

Nougat has been available on the Dev builds for months, possibly since late January. I flashed it the day mine arrived been running fine and has UK available as a region. I'm now on Xiaomi.eu based on the Chian Dev, I've not found any issues.

Download to phone (or copy and paste):

Open the update app, select update from zip and select the above file, it'll reboot and install Nougat, it will wipe your phone though.

Nougat will come to stable at some point, most likely when MIUI 9 stable is released which will be a good few months yet.

Nope, no root needed, it will wipe your phone though so bear that in mind.

Mine arrived today, so it took 12 days from order to delivery, which is great from China. The leather case I ordered from ebay has not arrived yet, so I've not played about with it too much, as one slip off the wooden table onto the wooden floor will smash it, so it's in the drawer until it arrives. From first impressions I have to say white looks grainy in comparison to my Smart Ultra 6, and the colours aren't as vibrant. I don't need an expensive phone as I don't use the phone for camera (as I prefer a conventional one) or for video or games. I don't need a new phone really as my SU6 does everything I need apart from working on 3G/4G in America, which is why I bought this phone as the SU6 won't work on data which I want for citymapper/voip in New York.

Update, mine arrived in the UK friday , so 8 days, so hoping I will have it early this week :smile: without customs charges I hope....

it is ok but very flimsy, I find out through research the case we need for our phones is the the 4X version

Had that with another phone, either switch on/off or try reinserting sim....

Got all excited and loaded all my stuff on, but quite happy at the moment with the speed etc, so will give it a few weeks then maybe....

haha that is exactly the same for us, it runs beautifully (after i ironed out a few minor things), got everything how I want it and kind of scared to update in case it all goes pear shaped

Wow! (So far). Ordered on 19th July and arrived Today so one week from order placed to delivery. Acurately Tracked all the way. Bought this for my daughter... I run an S7 edge and I can honestly say the smoothness and experience overall is not notably different on the Redmi Note 4x. Quality of phone and screen is awesome for price. Running a Three PAYG SIM and full 4G picked up. Bought for 130 including the international warranty.

So I went ahead and updated to the latest Nougat software linked to by @dcx_badass

All went well as expected, the phone is now running Nougat and all seems ok

Obviously when applying the update it will wipe the phone so you will need to install all your app's, copy over your music etc... after updating

The only minor disappointment for me was that there was still no UK option in Region settings, English Language United Kingdom was still there like before but no United Kingdom option in Region settings, it is only a minor thing really and I just went ahead and selected United States again and adjusted time to our zone etc..

Really nice phone, nicest I have had for a long time, very impressed and would highly recommend to others, the gold colour is not an issue either as it looks more silverish than gold

Xiaomi are kicking out great phones at phenomenal prices.
No longer can I justify spending silly prices on a phone with a higher spec, when you can ones this good for a fraction of the price.
Iv ordered 6 Xiaomi's for various family members in the last 6 months. 1x Mi-Max, 1x Note 3 and more recently Four of the Note 4's. Now my father wants a new phone soon and guess which brand it will be...

Yep updated to nougat , painless.................... lovely phone..............

Mine arrived yesterday (ordered on the 17th) and went ahead an installed my apps and then switched to use Nova Launcher (my goto launcher) and had an issue with not being able to use widgets with my launcher - almost a showstopper for how I like to configure my phone... and confirmed elsewhere it was a known issue with fix other than by rooting :disappointed:

However I thought I would do the update to Nougat today in-case they improved the stock launcher, but alas no but to my joy when I tried to use Nova launcher my widgets worked.... so happy boy again

sorry for lack of delay, just not had a chance to log in on pc, and mobile app doesnt seem to show quoted posts.
My battery is still fine, lats plenty of time for me, im not a heavy user for music or gaming, but its always on wifi, and synching emails, satnav when needed, bluetooth on car on, and some file downloads in evening with maybe a little video streaming from phone to tv. i usually charge it each morning for about an hour and that last me until following morning, and still likely be around 30-40%

The official Nougat update came through OTA a few days ago with miu 9

Very very happy with this phone, totally love and was the best I ever had
