Help GAME to lose money per sale. Not many in stock, as I saw only 17 are available so not a massive loss for them...
Jaw-dropping visuals. "Gears of War 2" continues to raise the graphics bar through its breathtaking visual effects, made possible through advances in Unreal Engine 3
Engaging experience that pulls you in and won't let go. "Gears of War 2" takes deep and immersive storytelling in video games to greater heights. Players connect with humanity's battle for survival on a personal level as they move through a story that introduces new characters and sheds light on the histories of familiar ones
Expanded cooperative play. Team up with a friend to fight through the harrowing story of Delta Squad in the enhanced campaign mode, now featuring drop-in/drop-out gameplay, as well as individual player difficulty options. Or recruit four friends to battle in the new game mode "Horde," where you'll fight together to fend off a seemingly endless onslaught of Locust forces to attain the highest score
Fierce and varied competitive multiplayer action. "Gears of War 2" features eight distinct multiplayer modes,2 including the new Wingman, Guardian and Submission modes, where up to 10 players choose a side and pit their courage and battlefield mettle directly against others. In addition, multiplayer bots are available to sharpen your skills offline or to fill out your online private matches on Xbox LIVE
Unparalleled gameplay. "Gears of War 2" takes the award-winning gameplay of the original and improves upon it in every way. The genre-defining cover system is further refined, making the "stop and pop" gameplay more intuitive. Dynamic cover is given new meaning as downed opponents can be picked up and used as shields. The intimate violence of the battlefield is heightened when combatants engage in chainsaw duels. Destructible environments and vicious new finishing moves add to the over-the-top experience
Party system and skill-based online matchmaking. New to "Gears of War 2" is a party system that allows players to form a full or partial team with friends and continue together from match to match without the need to reform after each game. "Gears of War 2" also supports a skill-based online matchmaking system, powered by TrueSkill, which groups players of similar skill level together in competitive multiplayer matches.

Heated, very good price indeed, though unless you are just missing this specific one from your collection probably better off seeking out a cheap 'ultimate collection' code and getting all four in your library digitally...

Playing this online with a friend at the mo. Definitely the best of the original three, and it's not aged badly at all

I don't know man, but let's not take this post very seriously. It is targeting a bigger thing. We are damaging a business, if I may remind you. (devil)

is dead stock removal. they are assets in annual accounts. losing dead stock saves money.
You can select your local store (say 150 in your local one?), and buy all the backwards compatible ones you want (e.g. Assassin's Creed/Battlefields/Borderlands/Darksiders/Fable/Gears of War/Mass Effect/Rainbox 6 Vegas/XCOM: Enemy Unknown): http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/available-games

I have like 43 copies of this from random codes emailed to me from epic and buying other things. How doesn't everyone own this by now?

I own this digitally, but I prefer having a hard copy as well since they are always the safer option for games/movies/music etc.

I was pretty impressed with all the 'scenery' in the Hive, esp the details in the ceiling.
Game has a really good atmosphere to it too.

this was the best GOW title out them all.
It was even fun in the offline co-op mode.

Safer option? I guess I know what you mean but I can't see us all suddenly permanently losing access to all of our digital games without there being some sort of alternative solution, barring some sort of cataclysmic event - in which case you'd have bigger problems!

Its not unheard of. I have bought digital music from various sites throughout the 2000's and at the time the sites were very popular and nobody thought they would disappear, they did and I lost all my music.
To a lesser degree it also affected Xbox Live, all DLC content I bought for my OG Xbox games was erased when OG Xbox Live was shut down
Its impossible to own digital content forever, unless somehow in the future the content you buy is universal across all companies and platforms. A game/cd/blu ray i buy now is mine for 10/20/30 etc years or for however I want to own it for.

It is possible to own digital content forever if provisions are made for the transfer of digital rights to new platforms - which is what Microsoft obviously neglected to do when they shut off Xbox Live for the original Xbox. They seem to have learned from that, as you can buy an Xbox 360 game digitally and play it on the Xbox One (provided that it's on the backwards compatibility list).
