Homebase stock near me is half broken or customer returns. It keeps on showing as they have items in stock on the computer/ internet but when you go to pick it up, mostly it is leftover rubbish and broken pieces.

The B&Q version tilts a bit, really needs a diagonal bracing strap

I thought B&Q and Screwfix were the same company.

It says each shelf can hold 175kg, can it really? I want to get one of these to store wine/booze/water/etc. I am worried about the shelves breaking and loosing hundreds of pounds worth of booze.

You couldn't physically fit 175kg of booze on one shelf, these are capable of holding cylinder heads etc. I had the Makro ones that were rated 265kg/shelf I think, plenty strong.

Are the screwfix ones on stock anywhere. None near me and not available for delivery.

Not in stock anywhere but you can order in store or online for next day collection.

My Screwfix one is going back as two of the chipboard shelves were broke when I opened it.
I guess that is just bad luck but I will be looking for something a bit more heavy duty

Screwfix and B&Q are same company
B & Q is for stupid DIY people who dont have a clue lol which is why they get away charging more

It is not for stupid people, It is for smart people. Do all your window shopping in B&Q and actually buy item in Screwfix or some other online shop. It is nice to see and feel what is available . Then buy it where is it is cheapest and with maximum warranty.

Those are specialised products. For general items Screwfix and Toolstation are cheaper and better.
