What are you on about? Once youre registered thats it and its much more convenient for me to go straight to a checkout and pay with my phone, than go outside to draw out cash for the same thing.
I rarely deal with notes/coins anymore, it's old fashioned.

I prefer Android Pay because it's as easy to use as my contactless card. Anything more complicated I'll avoid and just use my contactless card instead. Simplicity is key.

Why do you prefer Android Pay? I am genuinely interested in knowing! I prefer Samsung Pay because of biometric verification but some prefer tap and pay.

If you forget your wallet it beats going back home imo. Plus it uses tokenisation and requires pin/fingerprint/iris verification so it's more secure.

You can also just use a contactless debt card...pretty much every debit card is contactless as standard now and 95% of mainstream stores accept contactless payment. Even the local cornershops accept contactless payments.
You can be sceptical and paranoid of payments by phone if you want, but contactless debit cards are completely secure. I haven't taken cash out of a cash machine in years. In this day and age there's barely a need for physical cash when buying everyday items.

You may need to update your phone. It was bundled with the Android 7.0 update. On the off chance you are on EE the update was released 2 weeks ago (only several months late as usual for EE...). You might need to manually check for updates in the settings menu
It's on google play too - that's where I downloaded it.

The amount of information people are willing to hand over for an overpriced coffee....
People just seem to mess around with all these payment methods instead of just getting some money out the cash machine and paying.
Under a tenner you are a lazy moron, under a fiver and you are a complete tool!

Unlikely to ever work with Barclays as you can use their banking app to do exactly the same, so can't see them allowing cards outside of their own system
