Hunting for a tap (as you do) and came across this. Cheapest I can find anywhere.
It's at the front of the store as you walk in to your left, the clearance section. I estimate about 5/6 Franke left. Loads of other taps by Cooke&Lewis in the pile.
This tap has mixed reviews though mainly positive, but a "well known brand" for the price of the cheapos can't be beat.
Also 5 year warranty....
HTH someone.

Have you bought a replacement ceramic cartridge? They sell them on ebay for as little as £1.50.
We have a Hudson Reed concealed tap in the bathroom and when it started to drip a couple of years ago (It was about 7 years old at the time) but when I rang Hudson Reed for a replacement cartridge they wanted £30 for one. I asked them for the size and then ordered a 35mm cartridge from ebay just as a test to see if it would fit and it did. Has been working fine ever since, but I bought another half dozen as back ups just in case as the tap itself is as pristine as the day it was installed.

My experience of Aldi taps was the opposite...
Started to drip constantly after 18 months...ceramic cartridge was chinese jobbie so no spares...
5 year warranty is was worthless as you have to send to Germany at your own cost which would probably be close to the purchase price of the tap!!

Btw, that's the wrong photo of the tap. I have no idea how it got there...

Aldi do one like this with a spring. I've had it almost 5 years and it's still going strong. Normally about £35 I think, I paid £20ish. Not bad for one of the 'cheeps'.
It looks really good in my kitchen! They do it about twice a year as a special buy.

Heard good things about the Aldi taps. I guess it's my backup of this one goes kaput. Fingers crossed I don't have any bother and fall into the very happy camp.

For those who think these are 'quality' taps, the Franke Zurich we had fitted in our kitchen three years ago developed a 1.5 cm fatigue crack close to the base of the stem. If you turned it on, water sprayed out everywhere. Turn it off and all the water in the stem would leak out. It's a tap! It should last a life time but apparently it's only guaranteed for 12 months.
So much for 'you get what you pay for'....

Who told you it was only guaranteed for 12 months? That is the retailer's guarantee. You can return an item within 12 months to whoever you purchased it from, but the item itself has a manufacturers guarantee of up to 50 years (or should have - the Franke website states as such here: Franke Support/Aftersales and Guarantees page
There's a telephone number and email address listed on that page for you to contact them. It should definitely be more than 12 months for their taps.
