Not really a deal in my opinion as I think it should be this price anyway but it's reduced from £12.99 and it's an absolute classic.

Fair enough - I get that FFXV is not for JRPG purists.
I'm plodding through WoFF atm... Cutesy aside, the stacking element adds to the combat system pretty well and the story is good too.
I love NNK - it's like playing a Studio Ghibli movie  I hope the Welsh fairy makes it into NNK2

Amazing how one game can keep a company afloat for decades.....

Worth noting that you also get one of nicest themes on PS4 as part of this purchase. Well worth this price!
Is there a selection of PS1 games on PS4 now ? Or just FFVII ?

I think there might be one or two but don't quote me on that, I thought that was going to be the point of PS Now.

I just accepted that the game isnt for me. I don't want a mainstream FF game to be an ARPG but I guess that's 2017 for you. Personally I can't wait for Ni No Kuni 2 and DQ11. The first Ni No Kuni was the first RPG in a long time that made me feel like I was playing a PS1 era JRPG but with all the mod cons.

I didn't like FFXV to start with but the combat system worked out to be really good - it gives you the time to organise your team and strategy, whilst retaining the pace of an ARPG.
The protagonists are pretty despicable but the story is good and the scenery is gorgeous.

The remake can only disappoint. People will expect it to be as good as they remember FF7 being, but it will actually be as good as FF7 actually was

So it will be excellent then?

I liked FF15 for the most part but I have zero confidence the FF7 remake will be any good.

The joke is I bought this on my PS3 but have to pay for it again if I want it on PS4 :disappointed:

Yeah that is a joke, you should be able to download it on the newer system.

This made me a sad panda too i just cant justify buying it again when the remake will be out in the future

To be fair that was the psone version; this is the pc version ported over new for PS4. Though PS4 should be able to play psone games by now; like every other playstation in existence.

I agree with you in general terms - would be nice if we could play the PSX games we bought digitally on the Playstation Store on the PS3 on the PS4 as well - but if you bought Final Fantasy VII on the PS3 you got the original PSX version, whereas on the PS4 it's the PC version so graphically it looks a lot better plus there are a few new features like trophies, turning off random encounters and invincibility, so in this case it's technically a different game and I suppose that justifies buying it again, if the price is right.
Not really - the company that made this game, Squaresoft, doesn't exist anymore. They merged with Enix in 2003 to form Square Enix because both companies were struggling financially - Squaresoft largely because of the box office failure of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.

I think your sales technique needs improving. You're right though, a classic I've played through a few times. But at the end of the day is just the HD PC version correct? I think I'll wait the 5 years for the remake.

ha, yeah not the best sales pitch! I think you're right about the HD PC version but it does have trophies in there. The remake is going to be released in episodes as well i think

Prepare to be bitterly disappointed in that case. After the clusterfk that was FF15 I have no confidence in SE anymore.
