If you have an Orange, T mobile or EE PAY AS YOU GO sim that is eligible for upgrade discount, then instead of £49.99 + £10 credit, it's only £19.99 + £10 credit
To be eligible to upgrade you must not have upgraded your pay as you go within the last 3 months
THIS IS IN STORE ONLY, should be national

I thought it was to make a 2017 version of the 3310. Could have the nostalgia with the latest tech.
I like it but I've been spoiled with web browsing, good cameras and apps and dont think i could go back to just calls and texts, would be nice to at least have emails.

Wait, I thought the idea was it was to have 3/4g but look and feel of the old handset? 2g is obselete, wouldn't be surprised if all 2g networks were off by 2020 in UK.

Like i said previously i thought they were revamping the phone to make it a new up to date version. Not just giving it a new shell screen and camera. To me it would have made more sense to put at least 3g in it.
There is no reason to get this phone if you have the original.

When I went into the EE store the advisor was discussing with a customer about how this phone when bought on EE won't go on the internet "because the phone uses wap and EE no longer support wap". Those were the sales advisors words not mine

Totally right. They've missed a trick - in all kinds of ways - with this phone. It doesn't look or feel like the old one. The camera is awful. Whatsapp is now a core Messenging app. 3G is a must, and even 4G is getting there (whatsapp'ing photos)
Have a good camera, great battery life, 4g and whatsapp and I reckon this would have been a huge retro hit. And it would have swept up a whole load of over 60s who can't be arsed with the complexity of an iPhone or android equivalent.
As it is, it's a flop.
And in terms of nostalgia: it's also nothing like the original 3310. So it misses the target on all points.

when i first saw this was coming out I thought what a great idea, no i hear it has the most basic of internet. It just basically a big button old persons phone,
as said above for nostalgia only unfortunately.
But if that is what you want it will be good for you.

Everyone saying nostalgia... how is this the case? It's nothing like the original 3310. The ringtone, the screen... the games... It's like saying Nintendo DS is nostalgic because Game Boy... heck no! It's completely a different product that didn't exist back in the days! If you want nostalgia, buy the original 3310, not this crap.

It's worth noting this is not made/designed/ owned by Nokia. Nokia sell their name out to any cheap Chinese manufacturer which is what this is.

No Nokia is involved as well. All their patents and technology are being used. Just the manufacturer is in China. Even the iPhone is made in China .I don't like this phone but I don't think it is poor quality.

Ideal emergency phone to keep in your glovebox, unlike todays phones which last a day on a charge this will last months.

- phone. word-forming element meaning "voice, sound," also "speaker of," from Greek phone "voice, sound". At 2g, it would be very light. 2G is perfectly adequate for what this phone is intended for.
Mex5150
30 Jul 17#48
Not really. It has something called snake, but it's so removed from the original game, they could (should) have called it something different, but that goes for the entire phone though, it doesn't look or feel like the original. In fact the ONLY thing it has in common with the real 3310 is the name. Also, it really should be about a quarter of this price at most. Still, having said that, I'm sure the hipsters will love it.

Ps. You couldn't even take, and/or make pictures/video's with it either!.

Do you need to leave an emergency phone in a glovebox switched on all the time? Surely any phone will work fine and battery longevity in this scenario isn't really that big a deal as you'd leave it off and then switch it on if you happened to break down in the land where 'Wrong Turn' is set and your smartphone simultaneously ran out of battery.
Also surely the absolute cheapest and most rubbish phone on Earth would be fine in a glovebox - seems almost a waste buying one with (alleged) retro appeal if it will spend its whole life buried among half-eaten bags of Percy Pigs, Murray Mints and AA maps in a glovebox.
