I bought the v6 total clean from dyson outlet and I absolutely love it. It came like new but 2 little scratches where on the wand. It just converted the thinking of cleaning. Hope you like it.

I looked at the animal and thought I'd get a fluffy floor tool from eBay to have the same tools as the absolute but the tool goes for about £80 so I was pleased to see the absolute had been reduced to this price

Correct. I also got the animal and am slightly gutted but I don't need the soft floor tool. And the stick is orange on the absolute.
Got it last week and I have to say it's pretty good. High suction mode really pulls at the carpet and the bib emptying method is good.
Quoted times for use are with non powered tools - main heads are all powered as is the mini motorised. Therefore expect a bit less time with these tools attached.
Best bit is how quiet normal mode is - I can use it with my 18m old in bed and not worry about noise in the house.

Genuine question - to all Dyson haters, what would you buy, that is cordless, convertible, has powerful suction and is user serviceable? Thanks!

I know right, who knew! Plus I have a toddler and a husky plus a German shepherd and it's amazing such a small thing can handle so much hair and mess!

30 day return so I would think 1 phone call and they may send you the floor tool for £30 or free
