every manufacturer has refubs, it tell you nothing. personally I've never had a problem with Dysons. I've had the same one for 10 years. the only thing I've replaced is the wand part after I ran over it with the car.

Hi can you please send me the link for the dc 41 model as I can't find it on the site
The amount Dyson charge, you'd be surprised there world be any refurbishment at all.
That they exist, tells me that the quality is as poor as ever

I am looking for a good stick vacuum, I'm not sure whether to get a shark or dyson vacuum, very conflicting reviews confused
Anyone any experience with the two brands?

While i've heard the Shark is excellent i bought the v6 refurb last time round and i love it, I can get a 3 bedroom house done on a single charge including the stairs and just empty it when i'm done. I was disgusted with myself at just how much it picked up when i was always hoovering with my old cylinder hoover

These reforms from Dyson arrive as new but in a plain box. I did get one where the charge LED would not come on (but everything else worked fine) and they swapped it out for another one after phoning them. Great service even for a refurbished item.

These are pretty handy, especially for stairs.
Don't suck anywhere near as good as my miele which pulls up carpet but then what does.

Dyson's quality really has gone down in recent years. The older models were robust and were built to last.
I personally have had 3 faults with mine in the last 2 years don't think I'll be buying another one any time soon.

The dyson v6 is only £189 with 2 yr warranty and a extra £20 off and free tool kit if been a dyson customer before.
weird how dyson only do 2 yrs on cordless
I'm not a dyson lover but mother in law, I'm a miele fan, and yes it takes bags

Perhaps 2 years is the useful lifespan of the batteries.

They only give 1 year warranty on the battery last time I checked. No idea what the warranty on the battery is for a refurbished one.

Dyson (and its clones) are ironically the only vacuums that block they rely heavily on the filter meaning it has to be changed often. The cyclones also get blocked. Thats the reason for the massive amount of refurbs around. Its all marketing..
You never see dysons used in industry for good reason. Their performance falls off dramatically. On any other vac that could be solved by changing the bag. On the dyson it means refurbing the machine.

We got a V6 refurb last time it was on HUKD, amazing vac best to do spot cleans regularly rather than try do to whole house in go, battery lasts about 18mins

How is this a deal? New price is £190. For the sake of £40 you are getting a used Dyson and 1 year warranty less.

My parents bought a dyson, albeit not stick, and had to have the head repaired quite soon at quite a cost.
I bought a shark stick specifically because it's corded (batteries only last so long however well they're looked after) and, apart from looking somehow very gaudy, it's great. I think they've since updated to a colorscheme I find more pleasing as well but beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Incase it helps I bought the V6 Total Clean Stick Vacuum (£202) and the DC40 Multi Floor Upright (£119) on offer and both refurbished from the Dyson Outlet over the May Bank holiday. They both arrived in their original Dyson boxes and tbh they both looked brand new, you couldn't tell they were refurbs. I've been really pleased with the both of them but the V6 is amazing IMO. It makes cleaning the stairs etc..really easy. When I registered them with Dyson I also got a 2 year guarantee for the V6 stick and a 5 year guarantee for the DC40 upright  HOT from me btw OP

My V6 cordless arrived yesterday - besides the different box you would not know it was refurbished. As far as performance goes, very impressed so far - if you have stairs you need to vacuum you will wonder why you put up with a heavy awkward vacuum cleaner for so long

Your having a laugh! For £20 more you can buy a brand new V6, why would you buy a second hand (refurb) one at this price?.
