Decent price for a relatively high spec phone, bought one to stick in the drawer as a reserve in case one of the phones in our house dies.

Not sure that you are correct. I bought a mouse that was fulfilled by amazon, had an issue after 6 months and talked to amazon live chat to solve the issue (refunded cause oos)

and here is the 1GB RAM for £57 if you don't use a lot of apps
Problem is if you ever have a problem with something from china, its a nightmare to get it replaced, and some charge import fees, this was Amazon prime so you're covered

It's only fulfilled by Amazon though, so you won't get any help from them after 30 days.

How much is a warranty worth when we are talking tech this low priced anyway? Reason I ask is for 7 quid more you can get the excellent Xiaomi Redmi 4A 2GB/32GB direct from China.

I have had a mobile phone since 1994.
Never needed a warrant claim.

I like my Doogee phone.
It is every bit as good as my work iPhone but I only use both of them for phone calls, a bit of web browsing and email.

This is a poor buy. The chipset is bottom end and does not offer 4G.
The cameras are only 5MP ,so i don't know why they bothered with 2 on the back.
The shoot 1 has a much better spec and can be bought for about the same price on aliexpress.

Anyone know whether there is any malware on these handsets? I am always wary of buying these cheapo Chinese phones (other than the Xiaomi/Huawei etc mainstream brands) having been stung by the Pepsi phone the other year.

Not that I have found, I did a little research before buying and it seems to get a thumbs up

I've got the shoot 1 and I can't get it to tether I've contacted doogee technical loads of time and to be honest it's none existent. I am on three 4g unlimited data, I can tether with my Sony but doogee phone just will not work if anyone out there has had the same problems and had it fixed please let me know.
