Using the 7567 I7 with the 1050ti.
Windows no issues at all, fine little machine but the screen on these if not IPS is poor, I mainly (honestly) use it for work and it is fine for that.

From memory Dell often use solid branded drives, even if not ones that are available for consumers to use.
The point I was making is the extra gddr5 and a 256gb branded SSD would easily be in that price vicinity

For this price difficult to find a better screen with similar specs. So HOT for the price.

I wouldn't go for this laptop if you will use it mainly for gaming. The 1050 (even the Ti) is a mid-range GPU and I would say that even low-range in terms of gaming. The 980 one which is higher range but one earlier generation gives much better benchmarks on games than this one. I would only tag a laptop as a "gaming laptop" with a "XX65" GPU onwards (i.e. 965, 970, 1070 etc...)

This is a cracking deal for the spec - almost bought it last night but decided the chunk of cash on my credit card wouldn't be the best decision a day before we fly on holiday.

Just to clarify on the screen, it's recommended that people go for IPS panels as reviews have stated the viewing isn't great from angles etc. as people have mentioned above. But for the price, it's a superb deal. You generally won't find any other spec close to this for the price.

I'm returning my dell 7567 (i7 version with 16gb ram and 1050ti) which I bought one week ago. It had a lot of stutters and even when I called dell's technicians the only solution they could offer was "we can send you a new unit, but we can not assure that it won't have the stutters problem". With games runs perfect, but normal windows use it has a lot of stutters. It's even worse when you connect a second screen to the hdmi port.
These problems probably will be sorted in the future with new drivers, but I've read other people having these problems at least for 5 months and they haven't released a solution.

I got the hp omen at the end, which have lower capabilities but for me (casual player) it's more than enough.

Awesome price for this spec. Has the wavesmaxx audio and dual cooling fans too as far as I'm aware. You can't find specs like this anywhere for this price. I've seen the i7 version in the flesh, it looks badass and personally didn't notice anything about the screen

Avoid this laptop! Even though the components are good for the price, the screen is just terrible!

Great price. People's only complaint about this laptop is it's screen.Bare in mind this has the same graphics card as the recent HP Omen deal except this has 4GB instead of 2GB plus it has an SSD already installed.

Not sure what people are downvoting for tbh? Not sure you will get much more laptop for the money. As said, 8gb team, quad core, dedicated graphics that are usable, usable size of SSD...

Both are 1080p screens, only downside being I understand it's not a great screen, not great viewing angles. At £700, I think that's tolerable. Once you hit £1000, to my mind you want something a bit better...and also a 1060 in that budget would be better me thinks.

The HP Omen John Lewis deal was going for a hundred quid less. That had 2GB 1050 graphics and only a HDD. This has 4gb and 246 SSD. I think this is a good price. Both this and the HP had comments relating to the screen.

BTW the HP deal went over 1500 degrees... you do the math. :-)

I purchased this directly from Dell the other year for my son. Never had any problems with any Steam games etc he's purchased. Great for college too.

Is next model up also a 1080p screen?

The next model up is £300 more but has i7 instead of i5, 16B RAM instead of 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD instead of 256GB SSD and the all important 1050Ti instead of 1050.

Is it worth the extra?
