Looking for a slow cooker and came across this. Thought it was a good deal. Blurb to follow...
This is a fantastic value for money kitchen appliance. Its simple design makes it effortless to use, allowing you to set it up quickly before getting on with your day. The white finish makes it fit aesthetically into most kitchens. Removable ceramic bowl of 1.5L capacity restores heat while an outer cool touch body makes it safe to handle. 120 watts. Capacity 1.5 litres. Ceramic bowl. Cool touch body. Toughened glass lid.
Just reserved a 3.5 litre one at Gateshead. Seemed to be the only North East store that had any in stock.

Though that can happen, many owners swear by them and use them daily!
Especially good if you can chuck stuff in before work or college etc, then get home to a ready cooked meal.

You put the liner in the cooker, add all ingredients put the lid on and cook. When finished and food has been removed, you just throw the liner away. The liners won't be for everyone, but they suit me, I haven't got a dishwasher, and anything that means I haven't got to stand at the kitchen sink washing up, suits me.

Tempted but I have the 330 litre one to feed the 200 of us.

So you fill the bag with food to be cooked, seal it, put it in the slow cooker, then fill the slow cooker with water? Well in that case I might as well get a small ~1 litre stoneware pot and use it instead of the bags! If it fits in the dishwasher that's good enough for me!

I have one of these. It's fairly small but does the job and is great for doing casseroles and curries to take to work.

That's tempting, got a 6.5L one but I barely use it, partially because I'm lazy and partially because it's quite a large thing to have to clean

Hi, not sure if you know that you can buy liners that fit the larger slow cookers. They are like the bags that you buy for steaming vegetables in. I use them all the time in my 6.5 litre slow cooker and cleaning is now a doddle. I got mine in a shop called Home Bargains but I have seen them in other stores. I think they cost a £1 for 8 bags (but I may be wrong), anyway they are not expensive especially considering how much time they save on cleaning the slow cookers.

This size is ideal for one large portion or two medium size so.. good for a single person.. or a couple who aren't too greedy.
I got the Lakelands one.. bit nicer but £22 so this is a bargain as they are all fairly similar. Haven't got to grips with mine yet but it's a healthier cooked food, which requires HEAT!
