I hear it depends on the game - the older ones may struggle. Still, at £3 it's worth a punt!

I think I played the original Red Alert but RA2 is the one that sticks in my mind. RA3 was very good, just not as good as RA2. I'd buy it for RA3:uprising, I got RA3 for the 360 and it's 800pts for the DLC which isn't even all of uprising

You have made my 41yr old hubby v happy. And I got brownie points for remembering how much he loved the game 15 years ago!

A fantastic game series, I used to be a huge fan until the newer games came out but now is an excellent chance to give them a fair chance given that they can all be had for £2.99! IMHO the original titles are well worth playing for those new to the series despite being over 20 years old, there's something about 90s and early 00's games that gives them character.
Can someone please tell me step by step what do I need to do to play this game please?

Ahh.. The memories of playing Command and Conquer Red Alert over the modem with mates for hours, and making single player maps for the original Command and Conquer by coding lots of 'if man/vehicle moves here, trigger this move'...

Loved the music from the original command and conquer.
I think someone made a browser version of the game somewhere too.

I can run Generals and Zero Hour no problem on Windows 10, it's smooth as butter. I've not been able to get Red Alert 2 to work though, the intro plays but all I see is a blank screen.

I have Windows 10 and it plays perfectly. I didn't have to do any config changes or anything. However, I do remember that people in the past complained it didn't work with Windows 10. I remember this was resolved by finding the .exe and forcing it to run in Windows XP\7 compatibility mode.
Your experience may vary of course, but it works on my machine.

Bought this when it was on offer before. Had trouble getting the first game to work on Windows 7. CDKeys wouldn't take responsibility for it and referred me to EE. Spent ages trying different steps but still wouldn't work. I did manage to get red alert working though so money wasn't entirely wasted

I think I still have the original soundtrack CD somewhere for it...
Yes, I vaguely remember playing the HTML version a while back and it was pretty much spot on.

I wish I could of got into the command and conquer series after red alert 2, but that game set the bar so high for me, simple yet fantastic graphics, amazing gameplay and good soundtrack. Only thing that matches it is Dune (the rts - not "frank Herberts dune", I have fun with other c&c games but never really enjoyed them as much as that. As for c&c3 I hated it, i don't know if I was just impatient with it or what put that left a bad taste in my mouth for the c&c series

Not C&C3, C&C: RA3. The Red Alert games are better than the standard C&C games
