Why lol?
Citizen Crystron Mega manufactured 1975, still classed as the most accurate quartz watch ever (3 secs per year). We now have self correcting watches, but that's different because their actual accuracy is irrelevant.

My research showed that this has been a problem from day one as well as other iterations of the technology - mine had a recent firmware update and still wasn't happy staying connected for more than 4 hours at a time.
Citizen haven't really addressed it at all, or the fact that pairing is exceptionally temperamental and you often have to "full reset" each of the dials and start fresh.
Bit of a shame, as it is otherwise a relatively nice looking watch. I ended up with the A-T4007-54E in black as a daily beater to compliment a more premium dress watch for nice occasions, and couldn't be happier.

Mi Band Tools from Android app store. Unlimited app notifications rather than 5 apps on official.

It's not great - I had one for a couple of days and swapped for a radio solar instead.
It loses bluetooth connection every 4-6 hours and requires a physical (note: button press) to reconnect. Really annoying. Great concept, rubbish execution. I use MiBand 2 (with paid for 3rd party app) for notifications instead - it's an inelegant if not practical solution.

What app do you use with the miband 2? I just lost my miband 2 on holiday and have to get another because the android smart unlock and notifications are so handy.

I wonder if that's the watch hardware limitation or perhaps rectified with app software update?

It has to be in the proximity of your phone.

Yeah basically it just notifies you of messages and calls.

It's rubbish as a smartwatch. Doesn't really function as one properly.

It's not described as such.

It's not a smart watch. It's a watch that connects with your phone and shows notifications.

What is the Bluetooth functionality? Text alerts? Call alerts? Answer calls? Anyone know as there is little information on the website?

Call, text and email alerts without annoying ring tones, and it can set off a noise on your phone if you can't find it.
And sync the time, if you want to.
