This is the usual price for this stock item in Lidl. It's a great price but it's not an offer

It is worth it because the XXL @ 99p is the coconut variety!

Even if they did have them in stock and I was to stock up and buy 3 bottles and save 33p it's really not worth my time remembering it to consider doing.

This is HotUKdeals guys, and this is a deal. it costs a third of the price of offer "premium" shower gels. 66% is a large saving.

Might be timing as well, most of the 99 eurocent comments are 1-2 years ago? No idea if the German price changed over time.

Why is this so hot its just Lidl brand shower gel, never tried it myself i tend to buy the Imperial leather fruity sented ones when they are on offers, i find they last a long time compared to the supermarket own brands as it lathers up and spreads more so you need less at a time
dave1111 to Error440
30 Jul 171#36
Same here, tried some cheapie ones, supermarket own brands, liked the smell etc, nothing wrong with them but I find imperial leather foamburst works out better in the long run as it lasts ages longer due to using so much less per shower.

They are a Lot better than the Aldi shower gels (****)

Lemon or lime, just can't make my mind up, which is best ?

It's just typical LIdl marketing tactics. Put XXL etc on stuff, take a tiny bit off of the cost per ml and hey presto, more sales, more profits. It probably costs them less to put the shower gel in larger bottles anyway.

They smell nice but you need loads compared to better brands - Not good value for money

I beg to differ. Some of the dearer ones are a lot less sudsy that the Lidl ones. In this case it's not 'you get what you pay for'. I use the Lidl ones all the time. Fave is lime kick.

perhaps italians have a massive tax on soaps cos even the german link is half that making any 99cent prices irrelevant

Yeah I've got an old 1L Body Shop gel pump bottle that I keep (!) to put bigger packs of Shower Gel in...might try the Cien XXL next.
I read on a few blogs, years back that Lidl sold a Cien Madame Glamour roll-on deodorant - would love to find that - never, ever found that in Lidl (though as I say, I only visit every now and then). The Lidl in Jamaica Street only sells a condensed version of what's in larger stores.

Good price but not so good shower gel that doesn't lather at all. Nothing compares to imperial leather foam burst which a local shop near me sells for £1.50.
Yep, normal price at my local Lidl. Good product, why pay more!

It's pretty decent too. Not quite as good as the branded stuff, but smells nice and only 1/3 of the price.

My local Lidl has them in stock now. I guess it's a residue from the last XXL event. Use your head buddy and stock up when they're available!

You seriously wait for XXL week to get an extra 100ml that's worth 11p, please tell me you are kidding
ellbee
30 Jul 17#14
You're going to get 100 ml for an extra penny so it's worth it, although the big XXL bottle's a pain to handle in the shower. I buy the big bottles when on offer and transfer to a large pump bottle. Also note that Aldi also do their own brand of shower gel again at 33p but I'd say the Lidl one's better on the niff tests.

The XXL version you speak of for £1 for 1Ltr, is only 1p difference for the 100ml for 3 x 330ml versions of the OP's Deal ...
Is the XXL version actually that much better?.
Or the 100ml difference is really that significant?, or ..... (genuine question).
Thanx. :-)

There's a gym right next door to this Lidl so may be good for those patrons. And the Poundland just a minute away sells lots of protein bars, shakes, etc.
