Probably worth holding out for a £5 vouchercloud code too - they usually appear every month or so. Combine with 20% off at your local and you'll get £20 worth of takeaway for about £6.

Also Santander 123 Lite customers can get 5% cashback with all android pay transactions until end of Sept.

Unfortunately buying takeaway a lot this year means you may now make it that long :stuck_out_tongue:

I used a debit card

i've just checked my account randomly and saw that the balance was £5. I thought "Huh ?" so i clicked on the statement section to see that i've been refunded the £5 cashback from my order last monday.

So not only did i get a £5 voucher from JustEat as a "goodwill gesture", I also got the £5 cashback on top of that ! :smile:

I ordered on Friday 21st July and haven't received my cashback. JustEat support say I wasn't in the first 30,000 which seems strange when others received their cashback from orders on Saturday 22nd July.

Tried 4 or 5 times just spinning colured cicle when trying to pay and gave up, good deal if it worked for you.

Gah tried this before and couldn't get it to work my android tablet says that android pay isn't compatible with that version, my vodafone smart vf695 used to work on a diff account but now it keeps saying the device is rooted or using a custom rom or has an unlocked bootloader, the thing is it used to be rooted by kingroot but i unrooted it since so cant get the app to work, i know i could just completely reset the phone however i have an app that gives a reward every 3 months which is nearly due and if i reinstall it now when installed it will reset to day 1 again.

Has to be £5 BEFORE 50p charge. I dod £4.75 and didnt qualify. So annoyed with myself. 30K still is running - tweet them to confirm

hhmm .. someone from justeat rang me back and told me i wasn't on the list of people who qualified for cashback so she's supposedly issued me with a £5 voucher (which i also still haven't got yet..)

went back on live chat and was told i'd "missed a window" for placing the order so that's why the voucher was issued as a goodwill gesture. not getting actual cash but will have £5 to put to another order so one step closer to that heart attack :smiley:

We ordered on Saturday evening. Both the Just-Eat charge and the £5 credit showed on my credit card yesterday.

I ordered on Friday checked bank account money out but no cashback yet.

That was quick .. hopefully mine will be as quick as that.

I ordered on Friday evening and now looking at my credit card statement on Monday evening, I have the Just Eat original bill debited on Saturday and a £5 credit dated today. I've not had any email from Just Eat about the £5.

It's supposed to be paid back into your account within 3-5 days. I ordered something earlier on so I'd be looking to see the fiver back probably around friday I suppose.

So how and when do we know if we get the £5?

I've just been told on live chat that the offer ends on August the 6th and is still live and usable.

I think if Just Eat are forced to remove the 50p card charge they would start making the prices more than what you pay going direct to the takeaway. Personally I dont want to see that as I always pay on delivery to avoid the card charge anyway that would make me stop using Just eat

I tweeted them last night to see if they had hit the 30k mark yet and they hadn't. Also means I have the reply as proof if they say they hit the magic number and I didn't qualify.

No doubt it certainly seems that way. Their CS should have the correct information to help.

I just spoke to android pay live chat to check if it was valid before ordering and they said without receiving an email or app notification from JustEat personally offering the deal to you, you do not qualify. Not going to risk it.

Btw this shop overcharges anyway. I mean, 75p for a Wispa or Turkish Delight. Jeez!!

I spent £5 in my local shop the other day plus a 50p fee on top. Was about to pay with my phone when she asked if I had "anything else". I said yeah, I've got my card so she made me pay using chip and pin. I believe it costs them more to put a phone transaction through but as I was paying a 50p fee and I've been going in all my life I was surprised she made a big deal out of it.

Small businesses will still be able to charge a fee as long as it represents their actual costs (you can't profit on it). I typically get charged 1.25% plus 20p so going to be a nightmare to work out every time depending on the card type etc as I get charged more for American Express.

n all honesty I'll probably make a point of saying no card fees and just increase prices 5%. I'd prefer it that way anyway and was what I was doing before businesses around me dropped prices and charged fees!

Cashback is paid via same method of purchase, so the same card linked to yiur android pay.

Say if something is £4.50 and when checking out the card fee is 50p which totals £5 would I still get the cashback?

Is the cashback to the Just Eat account so they force you to make another purchase? Or is it to your bank account?

I'm guessing they'll have minimum spend like they do in many places. In a shop near me it's £5 minimum spend if paying by card plus a 50p fee on top of that
