Ok, I expect the usual challenges about machine spec and celeron, however as a basic laptop I think this is good value

I just got ordered a refurbished 11.6 version of this laptop from littlewoods ebay,
same processor 4gb ram and 32gb solid state hard drive for 115
Just search for aspire es 1-132, price shows as 129.99 but you get 15 perc off.

Jasee, thanks for the feedback. I personally don't like to replicate all the detail on the sellers website, just enough to explain the deal.
The full detail can be found with 2 clicks - first one on the "Get Deal" above, the second on "Specification" on the Tesco website

The most important thing missing from the description IMO is the screen resolution. In fact Tesco and others are extremely coy about this which leads me to think it's probably one of those *rap machine which ISNT full HD! Probably 1366 x 768! And the same type of machines have very poor keyboards! Which Tesco et al like to foist off on unwary customers!
So, voted cold for that!
Also missing from the description is the weight, number of USB ports and type,
Other than that it's perfect

He/she shouldn't come here at all according to you. Windows 7/8/10 is one of the main deciding factors when buying a pc, it should be in the description. If it isn't in the description he/she is well within his (moral) rights to ask.

I'm after a new laptop for browsing, streaming, uploading my photos and music too. Burning discs etc..
Would this cope or would it struggle? Don't mind paying a little more if necessary but not if don't need to.

Depends on the bandwidth your ISP allocates to you. The computer is more than capable but if that's all you want to do with it a cheap android tablet, tv box or Chromebook will do it just as well for much less. Your phone can probably do both already and cast to your TV, but again that depends on your network speed. Even a Raspberry Pi can run Kodi and stream all sorts of media so the days of computers that would struggle to do the same are behind us.

Read a lot of reviews and its an ok type of laptop at entry level but the most off putting comments are the slow speed when browsing so its put me off

Good description, that
Yes it can be boosted theorertically to 2.4 but I can't see that being much of a plus.
but.....personally, while NEW Celerons are far better than the old ones, I'd still prefer something more capable. Theres plenty of recent dual core fit that role at Pentium surely without going into i3 ?

Well, you can't get away from the weak-as-water Celeron 1.1 processor.
Everything else looks fine.
If all you're doing is being on the net, its OK
It'll do the job for most.

While totally true, the Celeron N3350 in this laptop is most likely going to stay in the higher boost band, probably in the 2.0 - 2.4GHz range a lot of the time, though that's not too likely to make it significantly quicker than the base clock of 1.1GHz but it should help a bit.
