Sub £50 for this Bosch drill, great price considering it comes with two battery's. This is currently selling for over £100 on Bosch's own website. Great reviews too and have seen some decent feedback on here from previous threads.

Even cheaper if you have a Student Prime Account using code STUDENT10 which gives a £10 off £40 spend.

As above the Bosch X line are fairly decent bits but if you want even better then it is often worth paying a few pounds more for the the Bosch pro range http://www.screwfix.com/p/bosch-drilling-screwdriving-set-103-pieces/2033T ?

Admittedly this set is almost half the price of the drill but the driver is only as good as the bits it is using' people buy decent drills then skimp on the bits it's a case of buy cheap buy twice especially with drill bits.

Any idea which accessory set to get? Haven't got much of a clue. Mainly will be looking to do basic home diy. Ikea with a few odd jobs. Although also be prepared for what may come.

Bought the Black & Decker version 2 days ago for £65,lovely little drill/driver,but the battery takes absolutely ages to charge.
Ordered this Bosch this morning,as it seems way better all round than the B&D,so I will be returning it to Amazon when the Bosch arrives.

Think was paused because the code was working on the pre discounted price hence min spend was a lot lower for a lot of items e.g ps plus.

Obviously this product is more than £40 so can't see any issue Amazon honouring the code for this once up and running assuming you have a Student prime account.

Yeah maybe it depends on who you get put through to!

The chap said he couldn't get the discount applied because of the prime deal being active, but said he will refund the £10 tomorrow. This is the reason that I also got the £5 voucher.

I was, it was £36 dead plus a measly 36p cashback, and yes, a single battery but never had the need for a second in all the jobs I've done, it lasts ages and recharges in about 1 hour.
Brilliant little drill.

Mind you, would students know how to use one ? :stuck_out_tongue:

Sure enough the deal just expired and no email from Amazon at this point although it seems the code is back live. Do I have grounds to complain here - as you can imagine pretty annoyed...
