The last night you can stay is 29th September (check out 30th), that's also the last day you can book, to stay that night. This is a really good deal, just join Club Carlson (free) and register at link shown, choosing free Friday e-certificate, in the UK Park Inn are the cheapest but are sometimes in odd locations, though Manchester is a good one, under 5 minutes walk from the city centre. 4-star Radisson BLU in Birmingham and Cardiff city centres (both big modern glass towers dominating the cities, tallest building in each city in fact) can be had from £49 a night.
Then you could stay in say a central London 5 star Radisson BLU or four star Park Plaza (loads and loads of these right in all central areas of London) or a property anywhere in the world, on any Friday night, for free. "Friday E-Certs are valid for reservations on a single Friday night at any Quorvus Collection, Radisson Blu®, Radisson RED, Radisson®, Park Plaza®, Park Inn® by Radisson and Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM hotels worldwide for stays between October 6, 2017 and January 26, 2018. "
Don't forget TCB or Quidco. e.g. 6% for Radisson BLU.
You can do this up to 3 times on 1 Club Carlson account, so book 4 stays and get 2 free Fridays, or 6 stays and get 3 free Fridays.

Has anyone managed to claim their free night yet? I'm staying at my second night on Wednesday and was hoping to claim my free night ASAP after that!

Do you have to check in for it to be classed as a stay?

The terms state there are 3 terms in which a voucher can be issued. Does your 2 night stays have to be within 1 of the dates they issue vouchers? Or can they overlap? It isn't clear
I'm having trouble believing you could book two £49 rooms and then stay in a £250 London room for free. Will read deeper into the terms and conditions tomorrow when i'm more awake!

you can I think rooms in other than the u.k Countries can be £15-20. You could then still get a £250 room free. It's worldwide.

Yes absolutely any subject to availability, I.e. As long as they're not fully booked.

There is a free Friday night option OR a 10,000 points option. The free Friday night is a lot more valuable, and has nothing to do with points. You will be emailed a code which you can use for a free Friday night.

stayed at radisson blu in london very nice hotel but if you go at the weekend watch out they have their own nightclub and the sound carries we did complain and got a discount on our next booking if we contacted the concierge. Other than the noise it was great very close to the tube and its own restaurant great for weekend trips to london if you can put up with the noise.
