FWIW I love Bodum double walled glasses - they are great for hot or cold drinks. I'm so converted by them I don't think I'll buy normal glasses again.

Has to be hot... cold tea is horrid

Bodum glasses are great but they are very fragile. I've had four of there double insulated glasses in the last 6 month and all are now binned with cracks or chips.

I've seen reviews on Amazon saying the same thing. I've had a set for well over a year and didn't break them. Well, not until I dropped one off my desk this week, but I don't expect glasses to survive that. Actually, I dropped one off my desk about six months ago,and it didn't break.

this seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
1. a pack of glass mugs can be had for less (cost per mug)
2. tea strainers for loose leaf tea have been around for quite a while.
can't decide if this is hot or cold! :s

I mean, you've literally just described the product. You just don't like the price.

There's the "design" aspect - they're pretty and made of heat-resistant glass by a reputable company. Also it has a little lid for the tea (keeps it warm) which then acts as a trivet when you take it out so you don't drip everywhere. And it's a 350ml mug, which is nice and big! They're small things but I like the idea of it.

I would have thought that too, until I bought a tea strainer who's lid wouldn't stay on so ended up with it all in the cup!
