Hey all, was messing around with the Blackpool PB site and noticed a good offer on wristbands
If you use code 1729 at checkout, kids go free with each adult wristband purchased BUT if you go for the family offer 2A/2C and add to checkout you'll get a pop up asking to apply family discount - DON'T ACCEPT!
Decline the offer and enter the code 1729 you'll then get the wristbands for £16.25pp (if you accept the offer) you can't add the code and it'll be £22.50pp! So should help keep down costs
You do not need any magazine - full info is here Link
If you're worried about the whole voucher thing, get them delivered to your door - personally never had an issue in the past, all that was needed was confirmation email / proof of address ie driving licence
I'm sure That's the t&c's from the offer. Not the voucher. The voucher is in the Asda magazine.

I went last month and the place was dead. the owner Amanda Thompson is driving the place into the ground. their were about a 1000 people on the park, in the 80's-90's their would have been 10.000 people on the park. half of the rides look as if they just been patched up through the winter months when the park was closed. no new additions unlike other theme parks, which move with the times. It's a shame really because it used to be a great place to visit.

The main problem with Blackpool Pleasure Beach is it's in Blackpool.
..which is packed to the gills with drek.

But they are halfway through building a £16m double launch roller coaster (the first of it's kind in the UK). I'm surprised you didn't see it - it's easy to spot.

The place is a Dump and the fact that the Thompson family bought up and closed the Southport Amusement Park shows that the only thing the Thompson family care about is Money

26 Jul 17#19
Went there last year and had a brilliant time, why would you complain that the place is dead? I'd see that as a positive, straight on the rides no queuing. Great day out would definitely go back.

26 Jul 17#21
don't get me wrong it was easy to get on everything (5 minute wait for the Big One), it was just plain boring. how much longer can the park carry on when the family are only getting a 1000 people through the gate. get rid of the £6 admission price, just to walk around the park would be a start. I had a chat with one of the staff about why the place was so dead and he said one being terrorism and two because people are bored of the place. the family are horrible to the staff and the morale at the place is at an all time low.
holeymoley18
26 Jul 17#20
Yep. Went last year and the year before. My teens think its the best park in the UK. A lot more compact to get around too. At Alton Towers you spend all day either queuing or walking. Better still, play the Big One app and go for free. Rubbish, tedious game, but makes for a free family day out unlike the other parks where a second mortgage is required.

So does one just purchase 2 x adult bands and they automatically send 2 for children?
carolmallon

One adult and one child should be £22 not £32.50 as it says when trying to book so child is not free.

Just read the terms and conditions. It starts by saying online offer only then further down says its for on the gate price. Dont want to get there and end up having to pay full price....

Official response from BPB Facebook messenger.
Hi Christopher. We're unsure as to why this is showing on the nickjr site - the terms and conditions stated apply to the physical voucher that is in the ASDA magazine. All we can do is advise of the terms and conditions on the offer (one voucher per transaction, based on gate priced equivalent wristbands etc) and to be wary of any codes posted elsewhere other than the specific voucher to ensure there are no hiccups on arrival.

I'd agree with your comments re Amanda and add that the situation isn't helped by her brother Nick being a raving alky. However, in fairness, a month ago the season wasn't even started and compared to ten years ago you need to pay to get on the park now. The reason? To try and prevent unrestricted access for paedophiles after directions from the cops...

27 Jul 17#43
Add the fact this is the quietest year ever for Blackpool due to many reasons.
Terrorism and the charge to get on has very very little to do with the fact it was dead.
As much as I agree with the other poster about Amanda there's not much she could do to make it busier this year.
Plus they are forking out 16 million on a new ride.

Wouldn't be so bad but live 25 miles from nearest Asda. Have had people go to three different Asda's today. No mags!

It was her who came up with the ridiculous picnic policy, banning and searching your bags for sandwiches. Only theme park I know of to do this. I've never revistited after being treated like a criminal for taking food, there's much better theme parks to visit imo.

There are plenty of eateries (chippys, cafes etc) nearby. Just get your hand stamped for readmission.
Due to the intensity of rides and attractions within the 42 acre site there is limited space and picnics and food are not permitted beyond the main entrance. A dedicated picnic area with tables and umbrellas is provided adjacent to the entrance of Pleasure Beach on the Adventure Golf site. Pleasure Beach is located on the seafront of South Beach, Blackpool and its fantastic promenade and golden sands provide additional picnic spots enjoyed by many."
Space is just an excuse, it's all about making money. The dedicated picnic area they provide is also a smoking area!

27 Jul 17#41
Yeah comparing that offer to this one I reckon am missing something here, App price would be £24 for adult and kid going free? SO would 1 membership cover my 2 kids, so from this my entry £24 + same for wife= £48 with the 2 kids free (after £1 purchase of kids pass app) so £49 all in for the 2A/2C beating this by £16, sorry if being thick hoping someone who has used this for a family of 4 like mine can advise?. Many thanks.

yes the code brings ot down to £16.25 per person.
so how much does the kids pass bring it doen to?
ive not tried it

27 Jul 17#50
I asked earlier and my thoughts on how much it would cost in post #42 though if someone has aldready done this and could confirm?
marlon32
27 Jul 17#51
so i just bought the £1 trial.....and it reduces the price to £65!
So it's not £44 like we all thought.
Reading the terms...it talks about the adult price being the 'gate' price and not the online price....hence the £65.
So, if you dont live near an asda...get the kids pass for £1 and get the discounted tickets for the same price as the Asda deal.

30 Jul 17#59
There's eight of us going, six adults and two kids, so if you apply the code then 2 adults and two kids will apply and the other four adults should pay full price but when entering the code it gives me 4 x 2 for 1 tickets at a total price of £130. I don't fancy paying that to be told two of the adults ain't children and be refused entry. It seems on their website the Asda code 1729 is just giving you straight two for one deals when it's supposed to be child goes free, not that I'm complaining but don't want stung at the gates for having the wrong tickets

31 Jul 17#60
I used this code to purchase tickets at £16.25. I booked online on Sat and went yesterday (Sun). Absolutely no problems. No voucher required. Also, although I ordered 2 adult and 2 children wristbands, you actually get 4 adult wristbands when you book on the 2 for 1. Book with confidence.

31 Jul 17#61
Just booked using this code for 2 adults 1 Child. I had to add 2 adults and 2 children to the basket, refuse the family ticket, add the voucher code which then gave 2 x 2 for 1 tickets for £65 then reduce the quantitiy to 1 x 2 for 1 ticket it says Asda Kids Go Free under that too. Total £32.50. It didn;t give the option of sending to the house so I've to take the code to the ticket office on the day. Do you think I've done it right to get 2 adult passes and 1 child?! Should I get the magazine coupon to take with me!? Don't want to get turned away with my 4 year old, shes being going on about this for weeks. :-(

The ticket office just wanted the booking reference. Never mentioned a voucher at all. I did print a voucher off from a link further up in these comments, from a nickelodeon site, just in case it was needed but it wasn't. The code was exactly the same on this site. I read the terms and conditions and it didn't say that the voucher was needed, just proof of address. It was very straightforward and a great day was had by all! Enjoy.

Hi, We're taking the kids (13 and 9) to Blackpool pleasure beach on Saturday. When I use this code it gives me Asda 2 for 1 kids at £65 but changes my 3 adult and 1 child ticket to 2 adults and 2 children?
I only noticed this once I removed the code. Is there a way to get the 2 for 1 but only for 1 child? Or do I just chance it as surely it's their mistake if I'm putting it in correct and then it automatically changes it?
Thanks

Thank you we went today as a family of 4 and our friends who are a family of 5 as we booked using this code so cost us £65 although they had to pay £6 for their cousins 11 month old to come in too although she couldn't go on any rides. Still a great price though and it wasn't very busy for being school holidays.

Hi, hoping others can help me after reading all comments. Im looking to book pleasure beach tickets ( mainly for Nickelodeon) If I purchase 1 adult ticket at £24 ( should the child be free) as per 1729 code. We are 2 adults & 2 children. Therefore, we should pay 2x adults = £48 and the 2 kids would then be free entry as we have purchased 2 adult tickets! How come it asks for £65 at the booking total? That leaves £17 un-accounted for... what am I doing wrong.. help!!
tahira63 to Nicola.Fraser
8 Aug 17#70
The kids go free is based on the gate price of an adult, which is £32.50, £65 for 2 adults and kids go free is correct.
gill501
8 Aug 17#71
Tahira63 is correct. We tried to use this code today. We booked online with the discount voucher last week. At checkout it states 2 for 1 and below in brackets (kids go free). At the ticket office today they said the booking cancels off the kids go free as you can only do 1 promotion per booking so we had to pay a further £29.50 for our daughter! We'd have been cheaper paying pull gate price for us two adults and grabbing an Asda magazine for the kids go free voucher. Well done anyone who managed to use this but we got categorically denied today.
