Really? When I created the post it was in freebies and wasn't aware it was moved to deals.
Besides, that has specifics when the DLC went free and when the free weekends were by platform :stuck_out_tongue:

Is ea access the same as ea origins - probably really stupid question but just got into pc gaming again after about 10 years and getting to grips with all this subscription stuff and windows / Xbox live gaming, hell even steam is brand new to me!

13 Jul 171#67
It's almost exactly the same. The difference for me is that sport games are better on consoles (many pc ports aren't great), the other games are generally better on pc overall, particularly games like the two being added here.
I've held off subscribing as usually I'd only purchase sports games by ea and so was waiting to see if Sony finally add it as a service (no luck). These two games have sealed it for me and I'll now get the pc version...

Can someone explain to a noob what EA Access is - is it the same as PS PLUS? One post above seems to suggest there is a separate Xbox monthly subscription as well? Have the split the game library up? Cheers

I think people have pointed out this is on Origin Access for those on PC as well. I'm not sure how many subscribers EA's service actually gets but it will interesting to see if Titanfall 2 gets solid player numbers as a result of this.

Around 2 years ago you should have realized never to buy an EA game ever again after the launch of EAA.
We all have far too many games to play. I have over 150 Xbox one digital games! Why?!
Paying £20 or wherever is cheapest for EAA makes much more sense.

true with ea games on the Xbox one, if you must have it on release it's best to buy it on disc so you can get a bit of money back when it goes in the vault.

99.9% yes. These are almost same services running both together in same time.
Yesterday ea access get free* upgrade to ultimate collection of battlefront 1, today PC owners get this package too but include ea vault.
So keep paying PC vault and you will get bf1 and tf2 for free* to play.

Is it as bad as that feeling when you see games that you paid £40 for at launch are £3.74 in the Steam sale and you haven't even started them yet?
Of course it will - you don't get any points for guessing. that. It's just a question of when, and it will probably be early next year as games seem to be added to the subscription one year after release.

I know a lot of people have been holding off on buying Titanfall 2, either waiting on a particular price point or waiting for this very thing to happen - being included in the vault for EA Access.
If you don't subscribe to EA Access and only dip in and out, I would really recommend buying Titanfall 2 outright, if only as a show of supporting the developer.
They made a seriously good game and have strongly supported it post-launch, but unfortunately EA didn't give them the best release window when it came out. I thoroughly enjoyed the campaign, and the multiplayer is really good fun. I hope they get to make another one.

shocked people thought it would stay out the vault, with the first one I could understand why people who purchased the game were upset that they added something they thought would be excluded. But as the terms are identical to that of the first game I don't think anyone can really kick off at ea or respawn as it was expected.
