What a breathtakingly stupid analogy.
Now, are you going to answer my question? What is the point of "braided" cable?

Having never had a cable snap except at the connectors, can someone explain to me what's so special about "braided"?

When will all my devices be changing to type C? Will the tech pixies be altering all my kit overnight?

What AWG are they ?
For modern smart phones with high capacity batteries you want a cable that can handle 2000mA charge

Try Anker through Amazon.
The cables have 18 month warranty so if they stop working then Anker will send you another one free of charge without sending the faulty one back.

Thanks OP the kids and wife keep breaking the connectors so need a couple of extras as they ones I have only charge if held at a 176 degree angle with a North Easterly wind of 8mph.

The annoying thing about Micro USB cables is that over time the cables will become loose and then it wont plug in properly. This is caused by the 2 raised pins on the plugs which goes down but you can prop it up by using a needle or safety pin (See You Tube videos). But this can also damage it if your not careful.
Im glad i now use an Android phone that takes the new USB C cable which does not have this problem and can also plug in any way like the Apple cables

That's a bit disappointing.
Short cable but good for emergencies. Can't really argue at £1 each for braided.
Bargain!
shame discount doesnt apply to 6ft cable
also got £5 Prime Now credit
