Only to the wall/door frame to be fitted. I fitted them onto the door frame ( wood ) works a treat using them to maximum extension, only 4 screws a side & easy to open & close.

Bought two @ £9.99 few weeks ago doing the job well as dog gates. IMO worth the money. HEAT ADDED

sorry to be thick, but thats my middle name :smile: i dont have kids or dogs but my sister wants one to keep dogs out but wanted a pressure fit one
