Flights from Manchester to Aruba for £269 in July. Baggage extra. Amazing price for a flight to the Caribbean, I went in April and loved it, lots of good deals on airbnb for accommodation, I stayed on a yacht for £300.

I have no idea where Abrua is in the world but at that price, I'm going, even if it's in North Korea. Heat added.

My impressions and recommendations from Aruba. As mentioned above very focussed on the American market so lots of designer shops by the cruise ship terminal.
I was there on two of their bank holidays and Strangely hardly any shops open and even a few of my favourite bars were closed for the day. A cruise ship was there for the day on one of the bank holiday and there were hundreds walking around complaining about the lack of shopping, strange planning by the cruise ship.
The island measures 19 miles by 6 miles and the top half of the island does not seem to be used at all.
You can get a bus pass for $10 a day that covers the whole island.
San Nicolas is known as the second biggest city, I went twice and found nothing there but prostitutes in most doorways and absolutely nothing to do there apart from catch the shuttle bus to baby Island.

Lovely. I remember the pelicans everywhere.
That yacht is very good price, obviously not ideal for everyone but £20-£30 a night is cheap as chips.

Heres a video from the yacht, I'm surprised how cloudy it looks it was 86° every day. https://youtu.be/dmTYjfyB4UM

The Dutch owners live on there and there were a French couple staying in one of the other cabins. I travelled alone so it was a good option for me, would have been a bit cramped for a couple though. I basically just slept there and spent a bit of time sitting on deck watching the world go by.

It's off the north coast of Venezuela.
Very American destination, so service and facilities tend to be better than those catering for Europeans. We stayed at the Riu and the all inclusive included a full mini bar with optics in the room!

Were there other guests on the boat as well? Really liked Aruba and never met anyone else that's been. It reminded me a lot of Cancun, Mexico (just without the drug dealers approaching you on every street). Went all inclusive but spent 50% of the meals in outside restaurants as there are loads.
