I've been onto Amex as I've already redeemed the offer. They are aware it is a "typo" in their words and are working to fix it to reflect the £10 offer.
They have put notes on my account to credit a £10 goodwill gesture once the offer credit of £10 is applied to my account. They can't see the transaction at the moment hence why I need to call.
If you go onto live chat you may get confirmation of the same.
Either way, £10 is still ok, but at £20 I'm happy. Heat to the OP.

Sure you mean - it works until you tell them you are buying GC's. I have a lot more cards and I was doing all the offers, google Amex financial review as that's what they will do to start with and you get an immediate suspension.

I meant to update this the other day. True to form I got the £10 goodwill credit the day after the £10 HOF credit appeared. I'm very happy.
I did it all via Live Chat not phone.

I spent £70 at House of Fraser but received only a £10 credit
I called Amex. They said that this offer has always been £10 cashback. I disputed that and said I have a snapshot of the offer when I signed up. They asked me to upload this snapshot to their document centre and sent me instructions on how to do that.
I uploaded the file and received the additional £10 credit.
I've attached a copy of the offer here in case anyone else wants to use this snapshot:
Whilst it does state £10 in the text, I don't think Amex can argue that this offer wasn't misleading!
I'd suggest calling Amex on 0800 917 8015.

Just been on to 'em via their 'chat' service and basically, we are sorry but tough, no goodwill payment to make up the £20. Things must have changed at Amex!

I got my £10 credit today. I've just called and they are applying the £10 goodwill gesture.
For the person that doubted whether my constant use of vouchers works (and felt so strongly they had to PM me their life history), then yes it does. £70 of HOF vouchers for £50. Thanks Amex.
The goodwill gesture will show overnight but the credit is on from yesterday.

I've been there. I don't have the teeshirt, I have the vouchers! I am not quite sure of your post as by your own admission someone buying vouchers will get the £10 back. I've already had it confirmed I will be getting the £10 plus £10 goodwill for the original offer.
As I said, I've done it before, many times.

It's automatic that's why you got the mail and you will get the £10 back. However they aren't silly so I'd order something you need to vary the total amount rather than meet exactly the minimum required spend, been there, done that, got the T-shirt...

I've already had the email saying I've redeemed the offer. I've previously bought gift cards (not e-cards) and have always been successful.

I bought 7 x £10 giftcards and have had the confirmation email from Amex to say the offer is redeemed, but it doesn't quote any of the details. I've taken a screenshot of the offer and will ask Amex to give me the full £20. They normally give you an account credit.

Be careful, remember the purchase of gift cards isn't allowed. I had a lucky escape with Amex! A smarter move would have been to buy £75 for instance or throwing a pair of socks on your order.

Not yet, I'll update here when I get a response. Although anyone who has already done it should get the email to say it's been used and that may give the amount.

I had it on both of mine. £10 is ok, £20 would be better, I've send them an email to check.

This offers bit late. Have already spend £200 at hof in summer sale. But heat added. They had 10% flash discount on beauty and cosmetics + £10 off would have been great discount combo. Going to give a miss this time but heat added

Works on giftcards, but I'll be leaving this one.
Need a few smaller shop offers.

Yeah I noticed that, however the subtext states £10. I suppose it could be either.
