Guys. I don't think this is a £10 off £40 spend. It seems to be glitching. Just apply it to your account with a £40+ spend. Then you can spend it on anything. For example
It worked for me with PS PLUS. 15 Months for £19.99

is this worth it (for an amazon dot)if you are not going to use it with a decent speaker / system ? the £10 off is working on a single one as price is over £40 without prime deal  i dont do music much would be more for the missus , just wondering what its like not connected up to a sound system. hmm maybe for £24.99 i will just order it  heat added thanks

i think it will work on anything as long as the rrp is over £40. so if prime day deal is over £40 rrp (before prime day deal price) it will stack ? i think

10 Jul 172#30
It's not glitching. That item is £28.69 today not £44.98 and the code is just taking another £10 off. So in theory you can use code for anything that is over £40 prior to any prime day discount.
They don't usually sell the item. It's been put up for Prime Day.
Nizam16
10 Jul 17#38
anyone know if it can be used more than once? Thanks
KCooperman to Nizam16
10 Jul 172#40
One time only. Worth mentioning for anyone who has ordered snes mini (or anything above £40) you can apply this code to your preorder. To do this, you have to add any item to your basket then add the code. You then go into any of your pre-orders, click update payment type and just click ok. Then £10 will be deducted from total

It would make sense. I remember when the 5% discount from students used to take silly amounts of their lightning deals due to the old price.
I think my Arkham Knight Collectors Edition was just short of £19. Still, if you see £10 off a £40 spend, you're only really going to try it on £40+ items, aren't you.

I think its purely down to how the discounts are being handled. Right until you get to payment the price remains at full - thus the code is being applied before the discount is for whatever reason effectively stacking them. Cheeky suspending it though.

Seems something is wrong with the student10 promo and amazon have temporarily pulled the code altogether. Says right at the top of this page: amazon.co.uk/b?n…031
Call me cynical but I suspect with this and free COD IW all round people were saving a bit too much and probably maxed out whatever balance amazon set for the student10 promo. My guess is it will come back.... right after all the prime day deals have finished.....

Amazon Student Promotion (£10 off when you spend £40 or more using the promo code STUDENT10) has been paused due to incorrect pricing.
Please note this is a technical issue and we are working on it. Unless and until it is rectified we won't be able to take any action regarding this promo code.
Rest assured once rectified you will be notified via an email to avail this offer.

Just tried this and I think I might have got it?? Had a lot of trouble getting the guy to understand that it wasn't that I had a problem entering the code, I just hadn't tried because I didn't know about it. Don't think I won that battle tbh. The item was being dispatched so I couldn't add it myself and I thought I'd save them the trouble of a cancelled order.
He did say that they have a technical glitch at the moment and should have it fixed in 24 hours when I believe they'll add it to my account. Hopefully to that order or it's useless!
Can't fault their customer care (he was so apologetic you'd have thought he'd run over my dog or something) but the language barrier was a little high.

Soooooooooooo confused as I initially ordered them both on a deal a few months ago and wasn't going to pay £39.02 for Spiderman and £38.97 for Red Dead
Now I'm paying £33.96 for Spiderman and £33.53 for Red Dead (embarrassed)

Having preordered Mario Odyssey for £38 I just went into my orders & updated the payment method on my original Mario Odyssey pre-order which had £5 discount from a previous deal & the order now has the £10 off applied to it (although it replaced the original £5 discount so it's showing as £38 rather than £33). So I've had the discount applied to 3 separate orders now. I just need to decide if I should cancel 1 of the copies of Mario Odyssey now or just sell it for profit when it arrives.

perhaps not through the automated facility, but they always will via chat IME, which is the better way to do it I find as they sort it all out for you and just email over the relevant pre-paid postage....

Ah I'm probably not seeing it since I already used the Student10 promo on an order, though I seem to remember some people saying they got two uses out of it, perhaps when they turned it back on again after pausing it for a lot of prim day, it refreshed the code for a second use by accident?

Yeah that does seem like that was the case , I just hadn't used it and when I seen the post about preorders I went in to mine and updated payment details and it just applied discount on both of them , its weird how it was both 2 different amounts taken off my preorders as well, not just a straight £10 discount
Not complaining though as I got 2 discounts and also managed to get Call of Duty for free flirt

thanks mate, at this point I was gonna use it for a psn card but after what you said I feel sorely disappointed XD

Pretty sure you can use it to buy psn cards (digital or otherwise) people were using it to get ps plus 15 months for 19.99, if you couldn't use it for all digital goods that wouldn't make sense.

I don't think so. It doesn't give me the option of entering the code I can only click on place order :disappointed:

14 Jul 17#185
You sure there isn't another step after that, confirming the order and asking for your card details? I don't get how so many people did it then.

Yes after u enter your card details there is another page where u enter the code and confirm order

I could try but i also read that psn vouchers are not returnable or refundable which kinda puts me off in case I hit place order and there's no steps after that. I would end up with 40 quid of psn money with no applied discount

I understand that but I have to believe that's an option based on the number of people who reported using it earlier this week for the 15 months ps plus sub for 19.99, without a code section they couldn't have done that. Anyway it's up to you but I'm fairly certain it's an option.

I'll give it a shot but with the ps plus subscription you can add it to the basket, whereas the ps voucher you can only hit place order; which is leading me to believe that this promotion doesn't apply to ps vouchers

I added the code to a normal order but didn't go through with checkout, went onto the PSN sub and came off auto in checkout.

It's the Prime Day price + £10 discount from this thread.
So you'd need a time machine to get the same price.

Xbox Live 3 Month Gold Membership + 12 Month EA Access + £10 Xbox Live Currency - £18.69
edit: after re-reading i think this is what you meant :P too much wine sorry
was thinking that but as i used the code to test, it says ive redeemed it even though i havent completed purchase lol :disappointed: but if i add one dot its still applying the extra tenner so i might go with it. will have a think mate thanks for the response
I think my Arkham Knight Collectors Edition was just short of £19. Still, if you see £10 off a £40 spend, you're only really going to try it on £40+ items, aren't you.
So, no, you don't have to start a trial. You can just pay for Prime instead.
It’s £28.69 for Prime day
This Offer is only available to customers who are a member of Amazon Student at the time of purchase. This Offer ends at 23:59 BST on Monday July 17 2017.
In July (horror)
"Please note, this promotion has currently been paused - the STUDENT10 code is not currently valid for use at checkout."
scratch that, i just scrolled up
Naughty Amazon.
Call me cynical but I suspect with this and free COD IW all round people were saving a bit too much and probably maxed out whatever balance amazon set for the student10 promo. My guess is it will come back.... right after all the prime day deals have finished.....
Please note this is a technical issue and we are working on it. Unless and until it is rectified we won't be able to take any action regarding this promo code.
Rest assured once rectified you will be notified via an email to avail this offer.
Now that's one hell of a night in.
I've just had it done without any hassle!
EDIT: my mistake, had ordered a 'Fulfilled by Amazon' item
He did say that they have a technical glitch at the moment and should have it fixed in 24 hours when I believe they'll add it to my account. Hopefully to that order or it's useless!
Can't fault their customer care (he was so apologetic you'd have thought he'd run over my dog or something) but the language barrier was a little high.
I'm after an Echo Dot and a Firestick and it says
"The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase"
Just bought a 1 year subscription to Microsoft Office 365 personal, which after Prime Day discount and STUDENT10 code came to £17.99, which is a fantastic price!
Even asked to be put forward to a supervisor who said they would not do it either!
Let's get on live chat to see if they can add it on..
Second one sounded like it was going to happen. But then came back with cannot have a promotion and this offer the same time. I tried it on the Echo.
Does anyone know if the Amazon price drops before release, will I still get the new price minus my £12 in discount?
e.g. if it drops to £44.99 will I get it for £32.99?
Soooooooooooo confused as I initially ordered them both on a deal a few months ago and wasn't going to pay £39.02 for Spiderman and £38.97 for Red Dead
Now I'm paying £33.96 for Spiderman and £33.53 for Red Dead (embarrassed)
I'd urge anyone on student prime to go into their open orders and do what KCooperman said , might get even more money off
Choose an order (tick box on left), then select an option from 'selct issue' and then 'select issue details'. You then get the option to select email, call or chat
How do u get the 24.99?
To be noted that I do have Amazon student prime and I haven't used the £10 off £40 spend before
Only student prime members can get the discount , it's not for regular prime users
Not complaining though as I got 2 discounts and also managed to get Call of Duty for free flirt
