How are they now useless? I'm interested to know as I have a pre-DAB+ radio that's 10 years old and still working.

I had 3 Dab radios which are now useless since Dab+
Lucky I didn't pay for them.
Free gift from Aldi for refusing to refund a faulty computer mouse still under waranty.
No mention if these radios are Dab+
The tech. is crap and out of date before it even launched.
We need satellite radio, not highly compressed rubbish.

You're right I also had a look at the manuals and didn't find any information, so my guess is these radio don't support DAB+.
I have the Pure Elan E3 Portable DAB+/FM Radio - Dove Grey557/5585 it used to be £49.99 sadly it's gone up to £59.99. Great radio though, very quick to boot and has a nice OLED colour display.

Alba is an Argos own-brand, and £24.99 seems to be the regular selling price. Presumably the Amazon sellers are getting them from Argos and selling them on at a big mark-up.

DAB radio should be a damn sight better than it is. Reception is poor in most places. By now it should be crystal clear. Very little work seems to have been done unlike the phone receptions DABs has got worse over the years
