Just left Voda because their call drop rate was shocking and went back to 3 (who I've been with twice before and seem to have much better call reliability and faster internet speeds overall) so can recommend this deal, but I recently got 30GB, AYCE texts and 600 mins from them for £18 a month + £65 cashback. Granted it's a 12m contract so not so good for those who like to switch, but I'd argue that's slightly better value for most. Deal still available if you go through topcashback.

Honestly if you like music or sky sports go with the Vodafone deal much more data for around the same price ISH... But it is a year deal....

The £12 per month deal, for 12 months sim is better.
Cashback £55 from both quidco and topcashback
£12*12 months = £144 before cashback, £89 after cashback (£7.50 per month)
Therefore monthly cost could be £7.50 for 600 minutes, unlimited texts and 8gb data including tethering and feel at home.
My wife is on the Essentials £9 per month deal, unlimited minutes, texts and 4gb data. She doesn't care about tethering, and cashback brought it down to around £5.50 per month.

Maybe you understand that people don't like 12 month deals, even if they are slightly cheaper.
Anyone used Three retentions lately, if so, any tips?
Been with them for a few years now and they haven't done me any favours... just waiting for the next big EE sim to come up and I'll probably have that.
Heat for the deal OP!

I spoke to them the other day, when they ask the reason for leaving just say no reason. Then they say since you didnt give a reason let me make an offer of 200mins extra per month. I was leaving because of bad coverage in Glasgow and was very suprised to get an offer on PAYG. Switched to Tesco (O2) and finally getting great 4G coverage and even get signal on train journeys which never had before on Three.

My mum phoned 3 for her pac code last week what a palava. Got passed through 3 different departments.
In the end they offered her 1 month essential plan with ayce calls and texts and 8gb data for £13 pcm (£23 plan with ongoing £10 discount to bill) and she did stay with them.

People will only speak about their awful experiences. I work for one of the major phone providers (I shan't say which) and honestly, it's all circumstantial; your anecdotal experience is not the one and ultimate truth. It's based on your geography and your handset.
I have a SIM deal with Three myself and although the 4G is next to non-existent where I am, you'll hear other people say it's the most amazing network for 4G - again, all anecdotal.
All phone companies are held under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, so try the signal out for yourself and if it's awful and you commit because somebody offered you it on the cheap, don't then complain that you've been cheated.

I went through retentions, I was on a 30gb per month sim, and wanted to spend less - approx. £10. They offered 12gb for £10. I bit their hand off. (It was also 1 month rolling too). I then saw that someone on here had got 30gb for £11 a month. I went onto Three LiveChat. I managed to get (after a lot of back and forth) 30gb for £10 a month, rolling.

Cant stand 3 retention.
Got 8GB advanced plan 12 month contract for £12 a month and £65 cashback, call up to cancel current three contract and get my number transferred over.
"oh but we dont want to lose a loyal customer"
I'm staying with three, I've said this
"this is a rubbish deal as you will have to pay your last 30 days of contract (£11 month) and we can give you 8GB for £15 a month if you stay, that works out cheaper than leaving and starting a new contract"
No it doesnt, plus I get cashback
"what is quidco? we cant match 3rd party sites, I wouldn't recommend 3rd party sites you can get charged fees"
It was through your website, but its tracked through quidco
"not possible, quidco is a 3rd party site"
No, i ordered through you
"you did not, £15 a month is the best offer you will get. we all see you usually only use 2GB of your 4GB allowance already so you're wasting your money, you also dont need feel at home as you have only ever been to EU countries"
I'm starting a new job which involves worldwide travel and need more data as my wifi is patchy
"no, you do not need 8Gb or feel at home, we can do 4Gb without feel at home for £12 a month"
That's worse than my current deal
"this is on a 1 month rolling contract"
So is mine now
"no its not, you have to give 30 days notice"
THAT'S THE SAME THING, I'M TRYING TO GIVE 30 DAYS NOTICE RIGHT NOW AND YOU **** WONT LET ME *Hang up*

do people still use quidco... even after they refuse to pay out ?
lol @ the vodafone comments ... the network was voted second to last in terms of speed and number 1 in customer complaints ... and that data comes from the regulator Ofcom so it's not anecdotal internet chatter either.

Some interesting comments regarding Three retentions here guys! Maybe it's worth another call? I hadn't considered LiveChat. Every time I usually use it for support etc, they usually tell me to call them!
Wow @aymanhd! Was that the Advanced plan? I do use Hotspot and roaming see... let me know if you've tried for the same @stfagos. Whenever I've tried them in the last 9 months or so they've always been really difficult to break down :disappointed:
Currently on Advanced; 4gb, unlimited calls and texts.

It was advanced, 1 month rolling. The best you could expect for £10 a month! It just doesn't have the go binge, as far as I know. Which is fine.

I've been trying with Three's retentions to get this deal. They say it doesn't exist and the only way to find out is with a phone number :disappointed: I know it's cheeky but would you kindly PM me your number so I can prove it to Three?

Can I ask how many mins/texts was included in the 30GB plan? I'm thinking of giving them a call this week as I'm paying too much and wanted to get an idea of the retention plans they're offering.
Thanks

I only use about 100 minutes a month, so they included 200 minutes, always unlimited texts. Or fair usage policy of 5000. Again pms weren't working for dinobev...

Would also be grateful if you can PM me with a reference just in case they ask.

Thanks
