Let's not go too crazy. At best, it's got okay colours for a TN panel, but it's still pretty bad compared to an IPS.
I had this for a while next to a Dell U2515H. It's not even close to being 'perfect' for colours.
It was okay as a screen. It was cheap enough at the time that I was happy enough with it, but there is much better out there if you have the cash. It's a basic, budget gaming screen. If you can't stretch anymore cash, it's good enough and better than 60Hz for sure.

I managed to get this on the prime day deal yesterday. With a sub £200 budget I was torn by 1440o or 144Hz as I couldn't have both at that price and this seemed to fit. Can't wait to get it now and finally use my 1070 nicely :smile:

For me, Yes. The LG Ultrawide isnt 1440p or 144Hz and I wanted a Monitor for gaming. Saying that the LG has decent reviews for gaming but according to these guys:
Make sure your GPU has DVI. Check the specs also regarding the 144hz, it'll likely only be via DL-DVI.

Bought this a week ago for the same price off amazon, absolutely stunning. worth the upgrade from 60hz even if you can't run all games at 144hz, still an incredibly smooth experience. Colours are perfect despite it being TN and it is the brightest monitor I have ever witnessed (recommend turning it down to 30% if you don't want to be blind by the time you're 40)

Bought this for £200 a few months ago. Well worth this money but 100% essential you adjust the colour settings. For anyone playing competitive online games I think for this price you really should get a 144hz monitor if you've never tried it!

I have just bought this monitor and not been able to use it yet. I have just been reading that people are having trouble actually getting 144hz out of the monitor and are having to used 3rd party software. Any of you guys had this issue?

I heard about this with colours. How easy is it to do, Im colurblind so might be a little bit more "fun" :smile:

Very easy mate, google is your friend. Just search for some calibration guides and it will tell you the correct on screen settings and Nvidia control panel settings to apply. Obviously it comes down to personal preference but they are often very close.
ps. Don't forget to actually change your refresh rate in the control panel. So many people are underwhelmed only to find they've been playing 60hz cheeky

Good price,
Always try to get IPS monitor over TN. The difference is amazing.
Once you go to 144hz you can't go back to 60!
If budget allows it get G-SYNC/Freesync.

I had a BenQ TN and switched to a Asus MG279Q IPS.
Viewing angles were much better on the Asus but colour accuracy was fantastic on both monitors, very little difference.
Biggest issue I have with the Asus is night scenes look very washed out, almost like the brightness is on full.

You can barely tell the difference between them in terms of MS.
I will take my 1440p 144hz IPS over a 4k 60 TN anyday thanks.

I'd take a 1440p 144hz TN - what is your point? I'd never use 60hz for anything, its terrible.
Even then I picked IPS over TN for gaming as the colour on TN panels compared to IPS is terrible.

I'm genuinely curious why youve no doubt payed £500+ for a graphics card but chose to have a budget monitor?
1080 can do 2k or 4k easily so is there a reason why you've decided to opt for lower graphical resolution for faster refresh rates? Or at least a decent 2k 144hz TN panel?

Great price for a great monitor. The only concern would be it doesn't have a DisplayPort. DVI is disappearing from modern graphics cards and you may well find yourself not being able to utilise the high refresh rate if you use an adapter.
High refresh rate is better for FPS. It's very hard to go back to 60hz once you are used to a high refresh rate. I still use a 1080p144hz for competitive gaming even though I have a 4k tv for slow paced single player stuff. Also for a lot of people 24" is the perfect size for competitive gaming as you don't need to move your eyes as much.
A benefit of TN panels is that they are usually matt finish. Even though I have a 27" 1440p IPS sat next to my TN panel I tend to use the TN as my main screen during the day due to the lack of reflections. The IPS is usually a second screen unless I need to do something where colour accuracy is important.

Had this mOnitor yesterday after the cracking £136.99 deal from Prime day and aybe its because of my GTX 1070 but evetything worked right out of the box...or at least I think.
Went into the Nvidia Options and set it to 144Hz and WOW! Ok so the screen is super bright but I put the brightness down to 70, contracts to 40 and put the setting to warm and that put it really nice.
Even websites look silky smooth.
THis is coming from a 6 year old 60Hz Samsung Syncmaster so basically anything half decent would have been an improvement but fired up Elite Dangerous and that was something to behold. The Blacks were black, the image was just amazing.
Love this Monitor apart from one thing:
There is a slight tilt in the stand which you cannot set so I had to loose my Monitor stand. Other than that, this monitor is ace!

This monitor is very good value for money, especially at this reduced price. I will say this though: it does suffer from very slight ghosting, which will be unnoticeable for most users but may be an issue for some. Unforunately the only way to fix this is to send it to Acer for a firmware update.
